Eyes
OBJECTIVE. Redness and heat of the eyes. Blue rings around the eyes. Redness of the white of the eye, with many vessels in it. Swelling of the right eye. Inflammation of the whites of both eyes, with burning pain (5th day). SUBJECTIVE. Dryness of the eyes (2nd day). Feeling of dryness in the eyes as from sand, and of intense sleepiness in the eyes. The eyes become painful and weak. The eyes are painful on moving them. Both eyes seem very hot to the touch. Eyes hot, with scalding tears, the lachrymation worse on looking at anything. Pain in the left eye on directing it upward. Burning in the eyes. Burning in both eyes. Burning and biting in the eyes. Burning and dryness of the eyes, worse in the open air than in the room. Eyes burn at night, especially left. Boring pain in the eyes. Pinching in the eyes. Pressure in the eyes. Pressure in the eyes, and dry matter in the lashes. Pressure upon the eyes and in the orbits, with sleepiness, at noon (36th day). Pain as if the eyes would be pressed inward. The eyes are painful on reading, as if pressed inward. Biting and transient sticking pains in the eyes. Stitches in the middle of the eye. Stitches in the right eye (21st day). Tearing in the left eye, in the evening before going to sleep. A pressive tearing within the right eye (12th and 26th days). Smarting pain in the eye (4th day). Itching in the eyes. BROW AND ORBIT. Swelling of the glabella between the eyebrows (21st day). Swelling between the eyebrows and lids, like a sac. Pain as if a boil would form in the left eyebrow, in the evening in bed (8th and 13th days). Pressure above the eyes, with a violent pain in the whole forehead. A boring pressure inward above the left eye. Sharp tearing in the right orbit and in the eye at night (30th and 31st days). A pressive tearing in the region of the right eyebrow (26th day). Jerking and twitching in the right eyebrow. LIDS. Swelling of the upper lid toward the nose. Inflammation of the lids of the right eye, with pain in the eyes and inability to read by the light. Agglutination of the eyes, in the morning (after 16 hours). The eyes are agglutinated by mucus in the morning. The eyes maturate in the canthi. Eyes gum in outer canthi, especially the left. The eyelids are difficult to open on waking in the morning. The eyelids close forcibly. Burning in the eyelids. The child complains of coldness in the lids. A pulling or tearing in the right lid and above the right eye. Pressure upon the lids. Stitches in the right external canthus. A feeling of soreness in the lids, on waking soon after midnight (25th day). Soreness of the external canthus, with burning pain. Frequent soreness of the left external canthus. Itching of the margins of the lids of the right eye. LACHRYMAL APPARATUS. Lachrymation (2nd day). Lachrymation, especially of the right eye, with biting in one canthus (27th day). Frequent lachrymation and rays around the candlelight, in the evening. Scalding lachrymation, especially at night. Watering of the eyes. BALL. Stitches in the eyeball. VISION. Photophobia; painful sensitiveness of the eyes to daylight; the room must be darkened. Staring; it is with difficulty that she can remove the eyes from an object, and she is obliged to fix them upon it almost against her will. Weakness of vision. Diminished vision after working in the water (washing); she can see only a small portion of objects, followed by stitches in the head above the eyes, with nausea. Vision vanishes when writing; white stars appear; therewith the lower lines seem to be above the upper so that he constantly re- writes on the upper line. Obscuration of the right eye, in the morning, lasting a few minutes. Objects seem confused when looking steadfastly at them, or when reading. White drops seem to fall down before the vision, on looking at snow. Spots, threads, and points before the eyes, when reading or looking into the clear air (after 24 hours). Sparks of light before the eyes. During the cough sparks seem to shoot from the eyes. Brilliant colors before the eyes. A yellow, glistening, tremulous cloud before the eyes. Yellow and white radiant wheels before the eyes are seen upon the paper when writing or in the open air; they turn in a circle and constantly become larger. Blue and green spots before the eyes. Black points and rings before the eyes, when reading. A small black ball floats before the vision.
Ears
OBJECTIVE. Redness, heat and violent itching in the external ears. Soreness and suppuration behind the ears for four weeks (after 21 days). Inflammation and swelling within the ear, with pain about it (after 3 days). A boil occurs in the ear (after 5 days). Discharge of yellow thin wax or pus from the ear preceded by tearing in it. Discharge of offensive moisture from the ear. SUBJECTIVE. Stopped sensation in the ears. One ear becomes suddenly stopped (after 3 days). The right ear becomes suddenly stopped (in the evening while sitting), and in the left there begins to be a ringing, rushing noise, so that his head wavers a little. Pain in the ears. Pain and sticking in the ears (3rd day). Pain in the right ear. A sensation as if warmth streamed out of the left ear. Heat in the lobules of the ears. Coldness in the ears, in a hot room (2nd day). Boring and pressive pain in the ears (1st day). Pinching sensation in the left outer ear. Drawing pain in one, then in the other ear (after 4 days). Pulling behind the right ear. Sharp sticking pain above and behind both ears. Stitches in both ears, in the evening in bed. Stitches and crawling within the ear, associated with a similar sensation in the stomach and oesophagus (13th day). A constant dull stitch in the left ear, which disappears on shaking the head. Sharp stitches extending into the left ear, so that she starts up, in the morning. Fine stitches in the left ear from within outward, frequently repeated (13th day). Tearing in the ears. Tearing in the right concha (24th day). Tearing in the anterior margin of the right ear, frequently (1st day). Tearing within the right ear. Tearing deep in the right ear, frequently renewed (1st day). Tearing now in one, now in the other ear. Painful tearing from within the left ear into the external cartilage, and at the same time in the bone above and beneath the right patella. Violent tearings in and behind the ear. Transient tearing in and about the left ear, as if in the bones. Ulcerative pain in the outer portion of the right ear, continuing a long time before midnight (3rd day). Gnawing internally and externally in the left ear. Throbbing behind ears, worse on moving head. Throbbing in the right ear, at night, only when lying upon it (2nd day). Jerking above and behind the ear. Twitching in the left ear (10th day). Twitching and trembling in the right ear, on rising from stooping. Tickling in the ears. Violent itching in the ears (after 4 days). HEARING. Diminished hearing in both ears, slowly increasing and decreasing (during 14 days). The hearing seems blunted in the evening (after 15 days). When she talks the sound echoes in her head. Noises in the ears. Bubbling in the right ear, with discharge of much soft wax. Cracking in the ears frequently. Cracking in the ears, on forcible expiration. Cracking and roaring in the ears frequently during the day. Hammering in the right ear, frequent and very unpleasant, impairing the hearing. A kind of humming, such as is noticed just before fainting. Ringing in both ears. Loud ringing in one ear and roaring in the other. Roaring in the ears. Violent roaring in the ears. Singing in the ears.
Nose
OBJECTIVE. The nose is red and hot and covered with many white pimples. C The nose is thick and red; especially worse in the afternoon. Great swelling of the tip of the nose. A small pimple in the left nostril (after 5 days). Scurfy nostrils. Sore scurfy nostrils, lasting a long time. Ulceration of both nostrils. Ulcerative pain in the right nostril. Stoppage of the nose. During the menses on the second day nasal catarrh, pain in the abdomen toothache pain in the back sticking in the ears and restless sleep. Stopped catarrh (after 26 days). Stopped catarrh, so that he could scarcely draw his breath. Stopped catarrh which disappears in the afternoon on walking (after three days). Stopped catarrh with much yellow-green mucus in the nose. Stopped catarrh, frequently also in the evening in the bed with crawling in the throat ( after 11 days). Stopped catarrh with itching in the nose; she could with difficulty get air enough through for several days ( after 4 days ). Coryza, with bloody mucus from the nose (after 8 days). Fluent coryza the whole day especially in the evening. Fluent coryza with excessive sneezing as many as thirty times a day. Profuse fluent coryza. Profuse fluent coryza every evening with frequent sneezing. Profuse fluent coryza with much sneezing pain in the back and head (10th day). Excessive fluent coryza (after 29 days). Blowing of a purulent substance from right nostril; it then becomes stopped and blowing causes a sticking constrictive pain extending to the occiput. Offensive matter is blown from the right nostril. Frequent bleeding of the nose. Nosebleed in the morning. The right nostril is bloody every morning. SUBJECTIVE. Burning in the left nostril. Burning in the upper of the left nostril extending into the ethmoid bone (23rd day). Violent burning in the nose. A pinching in the nose and root of the nose, especially on the right side (23 day). Itching in the nose. Frequent itching in the right nostril. SMELL. Acute smell.
