Much thirst. Violent thirst causes her to wake up at night. Thirst for cold drinks with much drinking. She gets weary when eating. After meals, lassitude, paleness of face, nausea, dark- colored vomiting of ingesta, pains and inflation of abdomen. Frequent eructation without smell or taste. Eructation with taste of the ingesta. Eructation of cold air. Loathing, with pain and coldness in the stomach. Nausea ceases after a meal. Nausea with eructation as after rotten eggs, the whole night till morning. Inclination to vomit and much collection of water in the mouth. Vomiting of bitter water.

Contractive pain in the stomach. Violent pain in abdomen better by warm soup. Excessive inflation of the abdomen, much discharge of flatus with relief. Numbness of mouth. Bloody saliva. Sour taste in the mouth. Bitter taste. Gathering of water in the mouth. Tongue coated white. Sour eructations, Constipation, frequent ineffectual urging to evacuate, with small stool or only discharge of flatulence. Diarrhoea, painful stools, green and frothy. Sour stools of children. Stitches in anus and rectum, also with fruitless desire for stool. White sediment in urine. Urine pale watery or green. Dreams of dead persons, of fire or thieves. Rumbling, gurgling in abdomen, Abdomen very heavy.

RHEUMATISM

RHODODENDRON

Type: Chronic rheumatism. Rheumatic gout. Acute rheumatism. Arthritis deformans. Muscular rheumatism. Podagra. Arthritic nodes.

Location: Right side. Smaller joints. Great toe-joint. Fibrous and serous tissues. Limbs, joints, forearm, hand, fingers, leg and foot. Right upper extremities. Right lower extremity. Thigh. Back and shoulders. Neck. Muscles of neck. Wrists. Periosteum.

Pain: Drawing. Tearing. Sprained, Shooting. Sore, bruised pains. Stiffness. Stitching. Wandering pains. Pains drive him out of bed. paralytic pains. Severe pains which are relieved by walking about; by continued motion. Pains wander from joint to joint.

Character: Rheumatic pains in the back and shoulders. Stiffness of the neck and rheumatic pains in the muscles of the neck. Tearing in the forearms as if it were in the periosteum, during wet cold weather. Sprained feeling in the wrists. Soreness in thighs. Rheumatic pains in the lower extremities and feet, worse during rest and during cold wet weather. Rheumatic and arthritic pains of a drawing and tearing character in the limbs, mostly on the periosteum, in forearms and lower legs.

Sensation in joints as if sprained, with swelling and redness, with arthritic nodosities. Pains are caused and aggravated by wet cold air. Pain in arm in damp weather. Pain in arm from cold air. Wrenching pain in wrist (Arn. Bov. Bry. Verb). Boring sensation in shoulder-joints. Pain in hip as if sprained. (Nitr-ac). Rheumatism following suppression of gonorrhoea (Con. Sars). White swelling of knee with intolerable tearing pains worse during rest and at night. Rending tearing in feet (Chin. Colch). Rhodo is worse during rest and better during motion (Rhus. T.). Rheumatic and gouty symptoms are worse before storm.

Gouty inflammation of great toe-joint. Rheumatic tearing in all limbs, especially right side; worse at rest and in stormy weather. Joints swollen. Stiffness of neck. Pain in shoulders, arms, wrists, worse when at rest. Rheumatic drawing, tearing pains in all the limbs. “Acute inflammatory swelling of joints, wandering from joint to joint, severe at night. Gout with fibrous deposit in great toe-joint. Rheumatism with coldness of extremities. Chronic rheumatism of small joints. Rheumatoid arthritis. Drawing pain in periosteum at night. Hard rheumatic swelling of big toe-joint. Rheumatic gout. Arthritic nodosities.

Causes: Change of weather. Changes to cold winter weather. Windy weather. Rough weather. Stormy weather. Cold wet weather. Thunder-storm. Getting wet. Catching cold. Sprains. Eating fruit. Suppression of gonorrhoea. Electrical changes in the atmosphere.

Conditions: Migratory rheumatism, wandering from one joint to another, worse at rest and in wet cold, windy weather better, by motion. Symptoms come on or are worse on the approach of a storm, during a storm or in wet weather. “In bad weather never absent.” Small joints.

Aggravation: Rest. Sitting. Standing. Wind. East wind. Rough weather. Wet, cold weather; getting wet; before a storm. Change. Thunder. Drinking wine. Night. Stormy windy weather. Electrical changes in atmosphere. On approach of thunder-storm. Rough weather. Morning. Wet, cold air. Wet cold weather.

Amelioration: From warm wrapping. Motion. Walking about. Heat.

Cannot sleep, worse with all his symptoms in wet stormy weather, before a storm particularly before thunder-storm (Dul. Nat-p. Rhus-t, Nux-mos.)

SEPIA

Type: Arthritis deformans. Wandering rheumatism. Gout.

Location: Sacrum; back, nape of neck. Lower part of back; scapula-left; shoulders; left shoulder-joint; shoulder-joint; bend of elbow; Elbows; forearms; wrist-joint; left wrist. Right- wrist; hand; joints of fingers; hip joint; hip; thighs; knees; knee-joint; right knee; tendons above knee; tendons of knee; muscles of calves; ankle; tendo-achillis; dorsum of left foot; ankle-joint; tendons of ankle-joint; tarsal joint; heel; big-toe; “all limbs”; all limbs especially hip; left side of body generally; right upper and right lower extremities; upper and lower extremities; joints; muscles.

Pain: Pain as if parts would bust: pain as if pressed or pushed asunder; cramping; drawing; jerking; knocking throbbing; pulsation; pressing as of a heavy load; pressive; tearing; sprained; tension; violent pain; stiffness; pulling; bruised pain; stitching; tensive pain; shooting; sore pain; stinging.

Character: Sacrum painful in the afternoon and while walking; sprained pain in the sacrum above the hips.

Stitches, posteriorly above the right hip, cannot lie on right side for pain, worse on touch. Pain in the back when sitting, walking. Morning, on tight dressing, on stooping. Stiffness in lower part of back, on stooping. Stiffness in lower part of back, can straighten himself with difficulty. Stiffness in back, better walking. Tensive pain between scapulae. Squeezing, drawing in right shoulder. Pressive pain as from a sprain just below left shoulder-joint. Drawing in left shoulder joint better moving it. Tearing in left shoulder-joint. Violent pain in shoulder-joint. Drawing in shoulder-joint. Drawing down the wrist to fingers. Tearing in the arm from the wrist into top of shoulder, can hardly move the arm for pain. Worse night. Bruised pain in right upper arm. Red swelling of the forearm with pain. Drawing pain in right wrist-joint.

Tensive pain in finger-joints. Tearing from hip to foot. Pain in hip-joint, better by walking about. Bruised pain in right hip-joint only when lying on that side. Stiffness of lower limbs. Tearing, drawing in thighs. Bruised pain of thighs when touched. Gouty drawing in knees. Tearing in right knee. Tension about knees. Shooting in knee. Cracking in knee- joint. Cold knees at night. Bruised pain in knees. Drawing pain in leg. Tearing in tendo achillis. Pain in tendons of the ankle joint when walking as if they were too short. Gout, drawing in limbs, knees, finger-joints. Parts on which he lies are painful. Arthritic pain in stiff-joints. Wandering rheumatism better by warmth of bed and by motion. Stiffness in back, better by walking.

Lower extremities lame and stiff, tension as if too short. Heaviness and bruised feeling in the extremities. Pain in heel. Legs pain as if beaten; desires to sit down, but when sitting down desires to stand up. Pain in legs causing patient to cry out. Pain in tendons of tarsal joints, as if too short when walking. Soreness and burning pain between nates. Stinging pain in heels, and knees and in thighs. Stiffness and cracking in joints, with arthritic pain. Stitches, sticking and drawing pain, with lassitude of legs and coldness of feet, but sometimes only in knees. Rigidity of ankle joint. Stiffness of limbs after sitting. Stiffness of lower extremities. Stiff pain in knees. Stitches above right hip, with sensitiveness. Pain as from bruise in upper arms. (Nat-m) Pain as from dislocation in shoulder joint. Stiffness of back better when walking.

Causes: Alcohol; wetting; laundry work; snowy air; over-lifting; blows, falls; jar, injury; cold air; dry east wind; sexual excesses. Moist weather, water and washing; getting wet.
