Fever

Violent shivering in the face and hands, in the open air, going off in the house (after a quarter of an hour). Heat. Warmth over the whole body, with a feeling as if it spread from the shoulders (after one hour and a quarter and one hour and half). increased warmth of the skin before midnight which she herself does not feel. Warmth extending from the abdomen into the shoulders, with perspiration on the back and in the axillae (after quarter of an hour). Transient warmth and perspiration on the head and hands at 4.30 P. M. Great warmth under both axillae (after half an hour). A sudden sensation of warmth on the outer margin of the left hand, as if it had been held by a warm stove. Sensation as if a pleasant warmth were creeping up the back (after one hour). Heat in the head, without sweat (after half an hour). Heat in the head, with perspiration on the forehead while the feet were cold; relieved in the open air; frequently. Heat in the head with indolence and ill-humor (after three-quarters of an hour). Heat and perspiration on the forehead (after one hour). Heat with perspiration on the forehead and warmth in the hands (after a quarter of an hour). Heat of the face, with redness; also warmth in the body (after two hours and a half). Heat and burning in the face, with redness and warmth of the forehead; dull headache; the heat extended down the back (after one hour). Heat with perspiration on the face, at 6.30 P. M. Heat in the whole abdomen in the evening lasting till 1 o’clock with loss of sleep without thirst; she was obliged to keep her hands out of bed, where even she could not bear to have them a long time (third night). Transient heat in the face, without thirst during the coldness. Transient but frequently renewed heat and sweat of the head and hands, always followed by coolness (after three quarters of an hour). Sudden flushes of heat in the head, without perspiration at 2 P. M. Orgasm and stupefaction in the head (after three-quarters of an hour). Orgasm of blood extending up the abdomen and back, with heat and anxiety (in the head), after breakfast. Sweat. Perspiration over the whole body, from 10 P. M. till morning, with weakness. Perspiration and heat of the face, during dinner (second day, also about 1 P. M).

Conditions.

Aggravation (Morning), In bed, pressive headache; lachrymation; after beer, burning in stomach etc.; in bed pain in thumb joint; in bed jerking in calf; sick feeling. (afternoon) While walking cutting in abdomen; chilliness. (evening) In bed tearing headache; by the light dryness etc. of eyes burning etc. in eyes in bed pain in left chest; pain in shoulder-joint; after walking in open air, coldness etc.; heat in abdomen. (Night) From 10 o’clock till morning perspiration. (Open air) Vertigo; pain in throat. (Walking in open air), Heaviness in head; sticking in forehead; stitch in jaw; pressure upon chest. (after dinner), Warmth in abdomen. (After eating), Weary etc. (In hot room), Headache, etc. (Laughing), Stitches in breast. (Motion), Pain in leg. (Rest), boring etc. between shoulders; pains in metacarpal ligaments. (In room), Head heavy etc.; pressure in temple. (Sitting), Pressure in chest. (Spinning), Heaviness in leg. (Stooping), Pain in forehead. (Walking), Vertigo. (Writing), Pain in small of back.

Amelioration

(Open air), Anxiety in head etc.; tension in knee bones; symptoms in general. (Cold water), Tearing in teeth. (After dinner), The symptoms. (After eating), Gnawing etc. in lower teeth; drawing downward in throat. (Rest), Pressure in forehead. (Stooping), Stitches in vertex. (Walking), Weakness of feet; stiffness in feet.
