Introduction

Iris Florentina, L., and Iris Germanica, L. Natural order: Iridaceae. Common names: White flag, Orris root; (fr)., Irisine; (G)., Schwert-lilie. (Orris root is obtained fro the above species, and from Iris pallida (all very closely allied botanically) without distinction).

General symptoms

Convulsions, fro which she did not fully recover for three months. Complete paralysis of the right side for five hours (in the younger of the two).

Mind

Delirium, from which she did not fully recover for three months.

Head

Giddiness, on waking in the morning. Violent headache, on waking in the morning.

Throat

Pain and heat in throat similar to that produced by Cantharides.

Stomach

Disposition to vomit.

Stool

Diarrhoea.

Urinary organs

Difficult urination.

Back and neck

Redness of neck.

Sleep

A kind of sleepiness.

Uneasy sleep.

Born in 1837in Westminster, Vermont. . He was an orthodox doctor who converted to homeopathy
Dr. Allen compiled the Encyclopedia of Pure Materia Medica over the course of 10 years.
In 1881 Allen published A Critical Revision of the Encyclopedia of Pure Materia Medica.
