Eye.

Objective. Staring eyes. The vessels in a small spot in the inner canthus of the left eye were injected with blood, without pain, Subjective. The eyes are dry; he feels increased warmth in them. Dryness and burning in the eyes, in the evening, by the light. The eyes burn, are dim and weak (Sixth day). Burning in the left external canthus (after three hours). Burning and sticking in both eyes, especially in the right, and particularly in the inner canthus, for several evenings. Transient burning in the right eye, at 4 P. M. Violent burning in the eyes, in the evening by the light (second evening). Pressure in the eyes, in the evening. Feeling as though the eyes would be pressed out, though painless (after half an hour). A stitch externally to the left canthus (after one hour). Constant scraping sensation in the right inner canthus (after four hours). Biting in the right eye as from salt, at 2 P. M. Itching in the left eye, at 4 P. M. Itching of the left eye, relieved by rubbing, after 2.30 P. M. Itching in the left inner canthus. Itching in the left inner canthus, which changes to pressure; in the inner canthus, vessels filled with blood extend branching like a tree towards the pupil. Violent itching in the left eye (third afternoon). Brow and Orbit. Violent aching around the eyes, especially the left, constantly increasing till the ninth day. Drawing in the upper margin of both orbits, on exerting the eyes (after two hours). Pressure towards the orbits from the head, and a feeling as though water would be pressed out of the eyes, followed during the day by increased lachrymation (after 14 drops). Tearing in the left superciliary ridge; thence it extends into the teeth and right lower jaw (after five minutes). Lids. The eyelids were tightly closed, the pupils very much dilated, and without any contractility. Agglutination of the eyes, in the morning (second day). Agglutination of the left eye, only transiently relieved by washing (eighth day). Slight burning in the eyelids. The eyelids cause a pressive pain in the eyes, as if they were too dry and he had not slept enough. Burning jerking in right lower lid (after two hours). Itching beneath the right upper lid, disappearing after scratching (after four hours). Itching in the right inner canthus, relieved buy rubbing. Lachrymal Apparatus. Watering of the left eye, transient, at 2 P. M. Lachrymation in the morning (fourth day). Itching in the left inner canthus causes lachrymation, only transiently relieved by rubbing. Ball. A sensation as of a band around the eyeball, mingled with some stitches. Pupil. Dilatation of the pupils. The right pupils is more dilated than the left. Vision. Obscuration of vision; she did not see objects very distinctly (after a quarter of an hour). Vision became very difficult; she saw objects only indistinctly (after one hour and a half). Remarkable illusion of vision; everything seems excessively large, with the greatest anxiety; for example, the chairs seem as though one could not get off of them; the flight of steps as though one could not go down them; but, as soon as the Objects were touched, the illusion disappeared, and everything assumed its natural shape (coffee an antidote). While awake, he fancies that he sees old men with long beards and distorted faces; and sparks of fire.

Ear

External. Boring in the right external concha (after two hours). Drawing in the muscles behind the right ear. Fine stitches in front of left ear (after half an hour). Middle. Burning pain in the left ear (after one hour and a half). A feeling of distension in the right ear (after half an hour). Earache, worse in the left (after two hours). Aching in the left ear (after half an hour). A pressive sensation in the right ear (soon). Violent stitches coming out of the left ear (after two hours). Fine stitch in the right ear (after one hour and a half). Tearing, coming out of the left ear and behind it (after three quarters of an hour). Fine tearing extending into the right ear, not relieved by boring into it (after one hour and a half), Crawling in the left ear (after one hour and a half). Crawling deep in the left ear, not relieved by boring in it (after four hours). Crawling in the right ear, as after going to sleep, soon after dinner. Itching in the right ear, not relieved by boring into it (after half an hour). Itching in the left ear, relieved by boring into it, at 3 P. M. Hearing. Roaring and whizzing in the left ear. Whizzing in the left ear, disappearing of itself (after one hour).

Nose

Objective. Ineffectual attempts to sneeze (after three quarters of an hour). Sneezing,; at 2 P. M. and twice at 4 P. M. Sneezing, with yawning, frequently (after half an hour). Violent sneezing, followed by fluent nasal mucus, at 5 A.M. (Second day ). The secretion of mucus in the nose is suppressed, without the slightest sensation of catarrh. The catarrh becomes loosened (after two hours). Stopped catarrh, on stooping, can get no air through the nose, in the morning (second day). Subjective. Stoppage of the nose, as if coryza would come on, at 5 P. M. Stoppage of the nose, she could scarcely get any air in (after three-quarters of an hour); can get no air through the nose (after one hour and a half); the stoppage of the nose loosens (after two hours). Feeling of coldness as from ice near both wings of the nose. Feeling in the nose as though catarrh would appear (after one hour and a half). Feeling above the nose as in catarrh (third hour). Feeling of fulness in the nose (after two hours and a half). Cramplike pain in the right nasal bone (after a quarter of an hour). Drawing extending up through the nose (after one hour and a half). A pressing-forward sensation in the upper nasal region (after one hour). Pressing asunder pain in the nasal bones. At one time sticking, at another pressing-inward in the root of the nose (after three-quarters of an hour). Fine stitches externally in the right wing of the nose, at 2.30 P. M. Frequent slight crawling itching on the left outer wing of the nose, which, when touched on the inside, was painful as if ulcerated. Tickling in the right nostril (after two hours). Itching in the upper part of the nose (after three-quarters of an hour). Itching of the left wing of the nose (after three- quarter of an hour). Itching in both nostrils disappearing on rubbing (after two hours and three-quarters). Violent itching in the nose. Painful itching above the root of the nose (after two hours and a half). Smell. He smells the medicine in the open air (after a quarter of an hour).

Face

Sleepy look (after three hours). Pale look (after seven days). Face yellow, earthy. Face spotted yellow. The liver spots in the face seem to become more distinct than ever (after one hour and a quarter). Puffy face. The features become spasmodically distorted, (soon). Cheeks. Burning internally in the right cheek (after one hour and a half). Tension as if one pressed firmly with a nail on the left zygoma, with some itching (after three hours). China Inclination to close the teeth tightly, as in tetanus (after a few minutes). A pain in the articulation of the jaw as if it would be dislocated. A stitch near the left side of the chin, in the afternoon. Fine stitch in the left lower jaw, while walking in the open air (after three-quarters of an hour). Transient tearing in the left angle of the lower jaw, and the lower back teeth (after three quarters of an hour). Violent bruised pain in the whole lower jaw, lasting half an hour, at 7 P. M. Gnawing as if in the bone, on the right side near the chin (after three- quarters of an hour).

Mouth

Teeth. A back tooth in the left lower row seems larger and longer (after one hour and a quarter). A painful sensation in the back teeth of the left side, relieved by biting the teeth together. Boring and digging in the left lower back teeth, drawing back and forth, relieved by neither pressure nor biting upon them, during dinner. Sticking pain in several teeth of the right lower jaw (after one hour). A dull sticking pain in the teeth, now of the lower, now of the upper jaw; at one time beneath the parietal bone, at another beneath the temporal bone. Dull sticking toothache. Tearing in the left upper eye-tooth, relieved by pressing upon it (after one hour). Tearing in the left lower back teeth, and in the gum (after one hour and a quarter); relieved by cold water. Gnawing and boring in the right lower teeth, during supper, frequently intermitting, disappearing after eating. Violent jerking toothache in the left lower row, in the evening. Tongue. Tongue coated white. Tongue coated with dirty white mucus in the morning, and the taste in the mouth was flat, as if he had had a paroxysm of ague; he even felt an emptiness and goneness in the stomach. The left side of the tongue was swollen and stiff, painful as if something was sticking into it; two evenings in succession. tongue dry (after a quarter of an hour). The tongue is dry and raw after eating, with accumulation of saliva in the mouth. The back of the tongue was sticky, with constant watery saliva in the forepart of the mouth. Burning on the tip of the tongue, as from a cut; soon disappearing (after four hours). A feeling as if the tongue had been burnt, causing a sensation as if blunted, after eating. Sore pain on the margin of the tongue. General Mouth. Dryness in the mouth. Mouth dry and coated (second morning). Feeling as though he had a very offensive breath, and the same kind of taste on the tongue (after one hour and a quarter). Saliva. Increased saliva in the mouth, with dryness of the throat. Accumulation of saliva in the mouth, and hemoptysis (after two hours). Frequent spitting of saliva (after a quarter of an hour). Watery saliva collects in the mouth (after two hours). A constant thin watery saliva in the mouth, of a feverish taste. Collection of sourish saliva in the mouth (after ten minutes). Accumulation of tenacious mucus in the throat, every morning, when fasting. Accumulation of water in the mouth (after half an hour). Accumulation of water in the mouth, with nausea, lasting half an hour. Accumulation of water, qualmishness and nausea, disappearing for three quarters of an hour, and again returning, relieved by eructations (after three quarters of an hour). Taste. Taste flat, insipid. Feverish taste, all day. Taste slimy and pasty. Taste and odor of peach brandy in the mouth (after a quarter of an hour).
