Elastic hose is not advised, but wide crepe bandages are useful in severe cases. An inner bandage may be well sprinkled with the Myrrh and Hamamelis solution given under Sprains. Wear in the daytime only. Splenic trouble is sometimes a cause.
VOMITING.
Ipecac. 3x, Mentha V. 3x, Prunus Per. 3x, Nux Vom. 3x, Veratrum Alb. 3x Give every fifteen minutes until vomiting ceases, then three times daily.

WARTS.
Treat as for Sycosis. Locally apply a drop of Castor Oil or Chelidonium 0 morning and night, keeping the warts (s) covered with oiled milk silk after each application. I find these items better than Thuja for local application. Strong Acetic Acid may also be employed, but if so a small felt pad with a hole in the centre should be placed over the wart to prevent the acid contacting the skin.

On the whole I prefer lower potencies of: Drosera 6x, Bella. 3x, Ipecac. 3x, Hierac. Pil. 3x, Thymus V. 3x.

After the attack administer Ambra Gris. 30 (one dose nightly for three weeks) to eliminate the toxins.
Food should be given in small meals immediately after each bout of coughing.
Those who prefer a herbal remedy can rely on a mixture of equal parts of Thymus V., Hierac. Pil. and Pothus Foet. (Thyme, Moussear and Skunk Cabbage) well sweetened with black treacle or honey: half to one teaspoonful three to four times daily. P. 20 may be taken additionally.
Another good herbal remedy consists of equal parts of Thyme, Lobelia Inf., Wild Yam, Moussear and Chestnut Leaves. Make the cut herbs into a tea by infusing an ounce of the mixture in a pint of boiling water; allow to stand and keep covered. Well sweeten and give half to one tablespoonful three to four times daily. If the fluid extracts of these herbs are used the dose is half to one teaspoonful in a little well sweetened water (best administered warm). Any one of the herbs mentioned will be found helpful. Regulate the dose according to age. Low potency remedies are better for babies.

WRITER’S CRAMP.
(See Contraction.) Freshly-prepared remedies should be used, obtained from reliable sources.
Plant remedies should be made up from fresh plant tinctures whenever possible, as many dried plant preparations are useless- the virtue departs with the drying process.
Do not use ancient remedies which have been on the back shelf of a shop for years; go to a reliable homoeopathic chemist.
Minerals should be thoroughly triturated by the prolonged method in a suitable mill. Unfortunately some homoeopathic chemists continue to supply minerals prepared by hand in a small mortar. This process cannot possibly break up the minute particles as a microscopic test will reveal.
The value of a mineral remedy depends absolutely on a very thorough trituration.
While it may not be a paying proposition to manufacture cell salts and other remedies in this manner there are firms who, on principle, supply only the property manufactured articles, and such firms should be patronised, even though they have to charge more owing to the lengthy time required for processing.
In this science of healing only the very best is good enough.
