Severe pain in left temple; a sort of cloudy sensation (twenty- seventh day). Sharp pains in the left temple, transient (while sitting by the furnace and after having been out), (seventh day).

Sometimes fleeting pains in both temples, passing in and upwards (thirteenth day). Pains of the shooting character in the mastoid process (ninth day). Dull boring pain in the left temple, in a small spot (eighth day). Transient boring pain in the left temple, in a small spot (eleventh day). In the evening, in both temples, boring-aching pain, worse in a warm room (twenty-sixth day). Slight headache in the right temple, with irritable feeling (sixth day). Headache in the left temple with the flushed face (twelfth day); headache continues (fifteenth and sixteenth days).

Headache; left temple and left side of head (intense) relieved by pressure (forty-second day). Bruised feeling, with fullness in both temples (after one hour and twenty minutes, second day).

Bruised sensation in both temples (twenty-fourth day). Vertex and Parietals. An intermittent, pulsating, aching pain on the vertex of the head, in a small spot beneath the scalp (ninth day). Dull feeling over the sinciput, and restless disposition (eleventh day). Dull stupefying pain in the sinciput, and finally extending to each side of the occiput (twelfth day). Dull pain in the right side of the head, rather on the right parietal protuberance and frontal eminence. Shooting pains in left parietal region, several times during the afternoon (fifth day). Pains in the head, parietal regions, more in the right than in the left, and generally lasting only a few minutes (ninth day). Pains in the head of a shooting character, sometimes in the right parietal region, sometimes in the left (ninth day). Shooting pains in right parietal region (after one hour, fourteenth day). Pain in the right parietal protuberance (after three hours, fourteenth day). Occasionally shooting pains in the right parietal region (eighteenth day). At 6 P.M., while walking and driving in cool air, pain in left side of head, from over the left eye back toward the occiput; somewhat sharp, soon passing off (fifth day).

Pretty severe pain in the left side of the head, from the forehead extending deep into the brain, coming on in paroxysms (sixth day). Some pain in the left side of the head, at 10 A.M.

Headache, in the morning on waking; left side, more or less during the day (thirty-first day). At 10 A.M., occasional headache in the left side of the head, somewhat deep in the brain (eighth day). Some headache in left side of head, at intervals (tenth day). Occasional headache in the left side of the head (twelfth day). Bruised, irritable feeling in the left side of head, relieved by lying on it and by pressure (seventeenth day).

Great irritation and irritable feeling in left half of head as before, with coldness of body and shivering (eighty-fourth day).

Occiput and External Head. Dull boring pain in the occiput (twelfth day). Dull pain in the occiput; these pains pass off quickly (after three hours, fourteenth day). Headache, in the morning, principally in the back of the head, lasting till after tea, in the afternoon (forty-fourth day). Cannon rest the head five minutes in one place, with pain all round the back of the head; temporary relief on changing its position, with thirst (sixteenth night). Temporal arteries much distended, also the superficial vessels of the frontal region; this symptom has been somewhat present during the whole proving, and even quite prominent now (thirtieth day). Slight eruption on the forehead, which soon disappeared, with the itching of the scalp (third day). Pain in the left side of scalp, on turning the head suddenly, as if the brain turned over (eighteenth day). Itching of the scalp, with slight eruption on the forehead, which soon disappeared (third day). More or less itching of scalp, every day (sixth day). A pin on anything behind the ear causes great irritation; obliged to remove it (twenty-sixth day). Itching of the scalp, morning (nineteenth day). Excessive itching of left scalp, for one hour, at 10 P.M. (second day).

Eye.

Eyes looked very red and inflamed (third day). Feeling as if a hair were hanging over the eye, with the headache (twenty-second day). After going to bed, sharp pain for some moments over the right eye, extending to the temple (first night). Bruised pain in left eye, especially on light pressure, one hour (fourth day).

Soreness of the eyes, with the irritable feeling in the head (second day). Dimness of the eyes, with the bruised feeling in the forehead (thirty-eighth day). Brow and Orbit. Slight pricking; bruised feeling in the left brow, for a few minutes, in the evening (nineteenth day). 12 M., a sharp, darting pain in the superior and outer side of the socket of the right eye (eighteenth day). Pain in the orbits of both eyes; worse on pressure (seventh day). Dull pain in the orbit of the right eye, as if bruised, and worse upon pressure (twelfth day). Dull, aching pain deep in right orbit, lasting only a few moments (after fifteen minutes, sixth day). Lids and Ball. Soreness of the eyelids (twenty-fourth day). Soreness of the lids, with the stuffed-up nose (thirty-fifth day). Edema of eyelids, of rising (second day); oedema and redness of eyelids, after rising (fourth day). Unnatural sense of dryness of the eyelids, continuing for several hours (sixth day). Itching of the right eyelid (seventh day). Stiffness and itching of eyelids, at 10 A.M. (ninth day).

Severe painful stitches, first in the left, then in the right eyeball, more at the internal canthus, for an hour (sixth day).

Ear.

Pulsating pain in the left ear (eighth day). Shooting pain in the left ear, lasting several minutes (tenth day). Pains often center in the ear, most in the left, beginning in the head, at 10 A.M.

(fifteenth day). Sensation of hearing more acute; noise is painful; trembling sound. The least noise appears to go through one (fifth day). Ringing in the ears (sixth day).

Nose.

(At 6 P.M., frequent sneezing, with discharge of sanious mucus from left nostril), (second day). Excoriation and ulceration of the right nostril (sixteenth and nineteenth days). Sudden discharge of clear water from the left nostril, without pain, about ten or twelve drops. Sudden discharge of yellowish water from the right nostril, about a dozen drops, repeated twice within the hour, but not so much in quantity, at 11.30 A.M.

(second day). Profuse discharge of sanious mucus from left nostril, continuing all day (third day); discharge not so copious; the right nostril is now affected (fourth day); not so copious or watery (seventh day; not so profuse, but of a greater consistence), (tenth day). Thick discharge from the nose (thirty- fourth day). Considerably discharge from nose, and partial stoppage (forty-ninth day); for several days past considerable discharge from the nose, with obstinate stoppage (fifty-third day). Catarrh returned, her handkerchief being saturated with yellow water form the nose, like saffron (after two weeks).

Fullness and stoppage of the nose (thirty-third day). Nose stuffed up, with pain or fullness over the eyes, with soreness of the lids (thirty-fifth day); nose still stopped up (thirty-sixth day). Fine drawing sensation over the bridge of nose (fifth day).

Fullness about the root of nose (seventeenth day). Sore feeling of the left nostril, sore to the touch (eleventh day). Dryness of nose (seventeenth day). Tingling sensation about the root of the nose (twenty-fourth day). Sensation across the bridge f the nose, as if the nasal bones were being pressed together or pressed inward, at four P.M. (sixteenth day).

Face.

Pain in right side of face, with slight swelling and stiffness, as of a boil would form; sore and tender when touched (eighty- fourth day). Pain in right side of face neuralgia (fifth day).

Awoke in the night with sharp attack of face ache, the right side of cheek; violent aching pain, with much heat and thirst (eleventh day). Inclination to face ache; sudden, fine drawing and shooting pain, subacute (seventeenth day). Face ache on going to bed, very severe, almost driving one to distraction, consisting of an aching, sore, bruised sensation, as if ulcerated, in the left side of the face and temple, passing off in about an hour (twenty-fourth day). Face ache in the night; unable to sleep; severe aching pain in the left side of the face, worse on getting warm, in bed; violent, bruised, aching pain in the right side of the face, on getting war, walking, easier every few minutes; pain entirely gone from left side of face (twenty- sixth day). Violent attack of face ache, both sides of face; most intense, indescribable pain; head seemed to be swollen; relieved by Platina (after six weeks). Cheeks and Lips. Left cheek swollen and gums inflamed (eighty-fourth day). Drawing pain in right malar bone, recurring several times (fifth day). At 11 A.M., having an eruption on the lips, dry, scaly, and violent burning and tension; more the inferior one; the burning of the lower lip passed off within an hour, and returned but little again (first day). Lips have been livid, dark, sickly, and rough for many days (twelfth day). Watery bladder on the upper lip, as from cold (twenty-eighth day). Lip feels slimy (forty-fifth day). Front and upper jaw a kind of tingling as if in the nerves; this symptom before going to sleep, but was not continued or very marked (first night).
