Superior Extremities.

Weakness of the upper limbs and pressure in several places, a kind of paralysis (after half an hour). Feeling of heaviness in the arms, especially the elbows. A peculiar sensation of heaviness and as if bruised in the left arm, especially in the elbows, worse during rest, the same sensation was afterwards noticed in the wrists and ankles. Pressure and tearing pressure, with a feeling of heaviness in various places in the right arm, especially the joints, in which the pain is much worse on moving about (after thirty-two hours). Violent pressure in the right arm above the elbow, and the same sensation along the ulnar margin of the left hand. Tearing pain in the arms (after three hours). Pressive bruised pain in the left elbow and shoulder-joints; afterwards in the right wrist. Shoulder. Painful sensation of heaviness in the right shoulder-joint on motion. Drawing pains in the muscles about the left shoulder joint. Pressure in the shoulder-joint. Pressure in both shoulder joints, worse on moving about. Pressure in the left shoulder joint, worse on moving about. Pressure in the forepart of the right shoulder-joint. Pressure and drawing in the shoulder joints and in the left forearm. Pressure in the left axilla from within outward. Violent pressure on the right shoulder-joint. Violent pressure in the forepart of the left shoulder-joint. Tearing pressure in the right shoulder-joint, worse on moving. Sticking in the forepart of the left shoulder-joint. An extremely painful sticking in the shoulder, on raising the arm. Stitches below the right shoulder. Tearing in the right shoulder- joint. Stitches in the right shoulder-joint, and pressure in the muscles extending over it; worse during rest. Bruised pain in the muscles of the shoulder. Paralytic bruised pain in the shoulder- joints. Arm. Pain in the middle of the upper arm, on moving it. Drawing pains on the inner surface of the right upper arm. Drawing pains extending from the axilla into the inner surface of the right upper arm. Drawing pain in the muscles on the inner side of the right upper arm. Pressure and a sensation of heaviness in the left upper arm (after forty hours). Pressure in the right upper arm from without inward. Pressure in the muscles, of the right upper arm and forearm. Pressure in the upper part of the left upper arm. Intermitting tearing pressure in the left upper arm, from before backward, worse on moving about. Fine stitches on the upper part and inner side of the right upper arm. Tearing in the muscles on part and inner side of the right upper arm. Tearing in the muscles on the inner side of both upper arms. Tearing and pressure in the upper part of both upper arms. Violent tearing pains in the right humerus. Bruised pain in the upper part of the left upper arm. Elbow. Feeling of weariness and a bruised sensation in the elbow-joints and fingers, momentarily relieved by moving the joint; very frequent. Sudden violent boring pain in the bend of the left elbow, while the arm was perfectly quiet and partly flexed. Drawing pain the left elbow, and a feeling of heaviness in the left arm, especially in the elbow. Pressure in the left elbow. Pressure in the right elbow-joint. Pressure in the right elbow- joint, worse on motion. Pressing pain in the left elbow. Stitches in the bend of the left elbow. Tearing pain from the lower portion of the left upper arm through the elbow into the upper part of the forearm, several times repeated. Bruised pain in the right elbow-joint, extending into the upper part of the forearm. Pressive bruised pain in the right elbow, extending into the forearm and first metacarpus of the left side. Forearm. Pressive tensive sensation in the muscles of the right forearm, as if sprained, in all positions (after twenty-forty hours). Drawing in the right forearm. Drawing in the lower portion of the bones of the left forearm. Pressure, with a bruised sensation, in the left forearm, in the morning. Pressure in the middle of the left radius. Dull pressure in the lower portion of the radius and ulna, extending into the wrist and metacarpal bones, lasting a long time. Pressing and twisting pain extending from the left elbow-joint through the deep parts of the forearm to the wrist. Tearing pain on the interior portion of the left forearm. Painful jerking in the upper part of the forearm. Wrist. Hard swelling on the tendon of the thumb at the wrist, which is painful on bending the thumb. Compression in the right wrist and above the left wrist. Violent dull pressure in the right wrist, in the evening. Hand. Trembling of the hands on taking hold of them, and on moving them. Great trembling of the hands, as from the weakness of old age, especially on moving them (after five hours). Boring pain in the right first metacarpus and thumb-joint. Boring pain in the first left metacarpus, in the evening. Drawing in the palm of the left hand. Drawing in the metacarpal bones. Drawing in the first left metacarpus. Drawing pains in the left fourth and fifth metacarpal bones. Drawing pain in the extensor tendons of three fingers of the left hand. Drawing pains in the fourth and fifth metacarpus, extending into the toes of the left foot. Pressure in the left fifth metacarpus. Pressure between the metacarpal bone of the right thumb and the wrist, worse on motion (after seven days). Pressing-asunder pain in the left hand. A violent or fine sticking in the hands. Tearing pain in the hands. Feeling of stiffens on moving the fingers of the left hand. Fingers. A peculiar feeling of stiffness in the right fingers. A feeling in the nail of the left third finger as if raised up by pressure from beneath, together with pricking in the tip of the finger; this persisted in every position of the hand, was alternately more and less severe, and lasted several hours. Boring pain in the first joint of the right thumb. Boring in the first joint of the right thumb, with a feeling of stiffness. Violent boring pain in the first joint of the left thumb. Pressure in the right finger-joints, in the evening. Sticking and pressure in the first joint of the right thumb and fourth finger, during rest. Tearing in the first joint of the right index finger. Tearing pain in the first joint of the thumb, disappearing on moving the thumb. Stitches as with needles beneath the right thumb-nail. Fine tearing in the left fingers, especially the Joints, worse on moving them. The periosteum of the phalanges is painful on pressing it.

Inferior Extremities.

Drawing pains through the left lower limb. Drawing pain in the lower legs, in the right thigh, in the outer and upper portion; several times, while walking and when at rest. Drawing pains in the whole outer portion of the left leg. Tearing pressure from the hip-joints to the ankles, worse on motion. Pressive pains in the legs, noticed early in the morning, when awakened by a noise. Drawing and sticking on the outer margin of the sole of the left foot and in the muscles above the right patella, while walking. Hip. Pain in both hip- joints and in the small of the back, when rising from sitting. Pinching-drawing pain in the sockets of both hip-joints, also extending to the posterior portion of the thigh (after two hours). Pressure in the right hip-joint, worse on moving it (after four days). Thigh. The posterior muscles of the thighs feel paralyzed. Pain in the muscles of the right thigh while walking, so violent that the knees involuntary give way. Boring in the trochanter and tuber ischii of the left side. Jerk like boring in the middle of the left femur, while sitting. Boring pain in the thigh above the right patella, several times. Boring-pushing pain in and behind the left trochanter. Drawing in the external soft parts of the right thigh. Drawing and pressive pains along the posterior surface of the left thigh, frequently while sitting. Violent drawing pain in the whole posterior surface of the left thigh. Pressure in the great trochanter and tuberosity of the ischium of the left side. Pressure on the left thigh towards the posterior portion; it seems as though, the muscles were not in their proper position, like a pain from a sprain; in every position, though especially when walking or touched (after twelve days). Dull pressure on the anterior and outer portion of the middle of the left thigh. Tearing pain extending from the left trochanter major into the thigh. Pain as if in the periosteum of the femur, when walking, sitting, and when touched, as from a bruise, as if sore, or as if the flesh were torn loose from the bones. Painful bruised sensation in the muscles on the posterior portion of the thigh, extending into the knee of the left side, while walking and standing. Knee. Swelling and tensive and sticking pain in the knee, when walking. Cracking and creaking of the knees. Weakness of the knee-joints, and a tearing pressure in them, when walking. Great weakness in the knee-joints, obliging him to sit down. Stiffness of the knees. Stiffness in the knees, only when walking. Feeling of stiffness in the left knee and ankle, while walking. Pain in the right knee on moving it, in the morning immediately after rising. Tensive pain in the knees and heels, when walking after sitting. Feeling of compression in the left knee. Boring pain in the right knee to the left of the patella. Drawing pains now and then in the knees. Drawing pains from the left thigh into the knee. Pressure in the right knee. Pressure in the left knee. Pressure in the left knee inward from the patella, in the evening. Pressure in the left knee, in the night on waking. Pressure alternately in the knees and ankles, appearing and disappearing suddenly. Pressure and drawing pain in the left knee. Pressure near the right side of the left patella, worse on motion (after twelve hours). Dull pressure and tearing in the left knee and on the left tibia, while sitting in the evening; repeatedly. Tearing pressure in the right knee-joint and farther down, worse on motion. Jerk like pressure above the right knee and ankle. Pressive pain in the left knee. Pressive pain in the left knee, extending into the posterior and external soft parts of the lower portion of the thigh. Pressive pain in the left knee, frequently while sitting in the afternoon (first day). Dull sticking and pressure in the right knee-joint, worse on motion. Stitches in the left knee. Pain in the knees, as if beaten or sore. Pain as if beaten in front of both patella, when walking. Leg. Swelling of the legs extending above the calves, with tensive pain, especially in the evening (after a few hours). Stretching of the legs. Painful feeling of weakness in the left lower leg, and a pulling in the tendon on the back of the left foot. Weakness and a feeling of heaviness in the lower legs. Tension in the lower portion of both calves, when walking. A constant violent pressing asunder pain in the whole right leg, while sitting. Violent pressive pain in the bones of the left lower leg, especially the lower portion, while sitting, lasting two hours in the forenoon. Compression in the lower portion of the left lower leg, in the evening. Drawing pains in the lower legs. Tearing deep in the right lower leg. Tearing in the lower and forepart of the left leg, in the afternoon. Tearing pain deep in the right lower leg, in the evening. Tearing pains in the bones of the left leg. Boring in the right tibia. Boring pain in the right tibia below the knee. Violent boring and drawing pain in the left tibia, even when walking. Drawing in the right tibia. Pressure in the right tibia. Pressive pain in the left tibia and calf. Pressive pain in the upper part of the left tibia, extending downward, while sitting. Stitches in the right tibia. Tearing in the right tibia. Tearing along the whole right tibia. Tearing along the right tibia, in the evening. Tearing in the left tibia, in the afternoon, afterwards in the lower anterior portion of both legs. Tearing pain in the left tibia. Tearing pains in the left tibia, frequently repeated. Violent scraping sensation on the left tibia, while sitting. Drawing pain in the left fibula. Tensive pain in the calves while walking, after sitting. Cramplike pain in the calves. Cramp in the calves, while lying at night, disappearing on rising but immediately returning after lying down (after twenty-four hours). Grasping pain in the calf, extending down the tibia. Drawing pain in the left calf. Drawing in the lower portion of the calves very frequently, even when walking. Drawing pain in the lower portion of the left calf. Drawing pains in the lower portion of the left calf, and deep in the left sole. Stitches in the calves. Ankle. Swelling of the feet about the ankles, with intolerable pain in the ankles on stepping (fifth day). One day the pain began in the ankles, then changed to other joints. Boring in the ankle and metatarsal bones, extending into the toes of the right foot. Boring in the left inner malleolus and metatarsal bones. Boring in the right inner malleolus, in the evening in bed. Boring pain in the right ankle-bones beneath the inner malleolus, also in the first and second cuneiform bones of the left side, while walking. Drawing pains in the right ankle. Pressure in the ankles. Pressure in the right ankle. Pressure in the left ankle. Pressure in the right ankle, while sitting, and also in the tip of the right toes. Pressure in the bones of the ankle and in the lower portion of the left leg, in the morning. Pressure as with a finger in the left malleolus, equally in every position. Pressure above the left internal malleolus, worse on motion. Dull pressure in the right ankle, while sitting. Violent pressure in the left external malleolus. Pain in the ankles, as from a sprain or false step. Sticking in the ankles. Tearing in the upper portion of the left ankle. Foot. Swelling of the feet for eight days. Chronic swelling of the feet. Stiff and rigid in the feet in the morning. Stiffness of the feet, with chilliness, and confusion of the head. Great weariness of the feet, as if she had walked several miles; she noticed it while sitting or lying, not while walking. Weakness and pressure in the left foot, extending from the sole up to the thigh; a kind of paralysis or paralytic pain. Heaviness in the feet, frequently extending into the knees. Boring pain on the cuneiform bones of the right foot, in the morning. Drawing pain in the right metatarsal bones, extending into the toes and into the middle of the right ulna. Pulling pain in the outer margin of the foot, extending towards the back of the foot. Dull pressive pain in the left metatarsal bones, extending into the toes. Tearing in the right metatarsal bones. Tearing in the left metatarsal bones, in the morning in bed. Feeling of jerking in the feet, and weariness in them on bending them. Drawing on the back of the right foot. Pressure on the inner margin and the back of the left foot. Pressure upon the back of the left foot, in bed. Violent pressure on the back of the right foot, in the evening. Tearing pains on the back of the right foot. The soles of the feet are painful when walking, as if congested with blood. Drawing pain in the sole of the left foot. Pressure in the soles of the feet, now here, now there (after eleven days). Pressure in the soles of both feet, worse when walking. Pressure in the joints of the sole of the left foot, now here, now there, worse on motion. Pressure on the inner margin of the sole of the left foot (after five days)). Burning pressure on the forepart of the sole of the right foot. Violent stitches in the sole of the foot near the inner side, while walking. Fine stitches in the sole of the left foot. Tearing in the sole of the left foot towards the outer margin. Boring in the left heel. Pressure above the right heel. Pain as if bruised under the heel, when walking (after two hours). Toes. Gout reappears. The ball of the great toe is soft, thick, and painful on stepping. Violent pain in the joint of the left great toe, while walking in the morning, so that walking was painful (pain repeated next morning on rising). A feeling as of a rush of blood towards the great toe. Aching in the right toes. Boring pain in the right great toe, in the morning. Boring in the first joint of the right great toe. Drawing in the left toes. Drawing on the flexor surface of the right toes, while sitting. Drawing pains in the right toes. Drawing pains on the under portion of the toes of both feet, in the evening. Drawing pains in the left toes. Drawing as under pains in the right toes. Pressure in the joint of the right great toe. Pressure in the first joint of the right great toe. Pressure beneath the nail of the right great toe. Pressure in the place where the three last toes join the metatarsus, worse on motion (after three days).
