CORYZA.
FLUENT CORYZA –
Fluent, acrid, corrosive coryza in morning; with mucous cough, and involuntary spurting of urine; something, also, with watery stools.
DISCHARGES –
Fluent, acrid.
SENSATIONS –
Stinging, itching, humid eruptions under nose.
COUGH.
DRY COUGH –
Dry cough in morning; loose in the evening.
Short, dry cough, in four or five shocks, from tickling at thyroid. Fits of spasmodic dry cough; ending in sneezing, and involuntary escape of urine.
Violent morning cough; with sensation as if abdomen would burst; more exhausting than dry cough at night.
Severe, acute cough, difficult and painful; high fever; short, anxious, frequent breathing; fits of coughing that are agonizing (Pneumonia in children).
Severe, chronic, loose cough in children; difficult, profuse, tenacious white mucus.
LOOSE COUGH –
Loose cough; constant expectoration of mucus.
SPUTA –
None; or Profuse, slimy expectoration, with morning cough.
White, or reddish mucus; sweetish; offensive odor.
Constant expectoration of mucus; loose cough.
WORSE –
Drinking cold water always brings on cough (Silica).
Changing from warm to cold air.
From eating.
With every exertion.
CHEST AND RESPIRATION –
Sudden attacks of suffocation, between II P.M. and 3 A.M.; must spring to feet, stand on tiptoe, and reach as high as possible, to get breath; with great anxiety; breath finally returns, with whooping inspiration.
Stitches in chest, especially when inhaling or coughing.
SENSATIONS –
Dryness, burning, and tickling in throat.
Stitching pains in sides Pressure on bladder, and involuntary urine.
