DR. C. A. DIXON: I think I made a statement before this body before that I never get a positive culture of diphtheria any more. I carefully arrange to give my remedy first and stall on making my swab and I believe that in an hours time it clears up certainly I need carry a culture tube with me. I give the remedy and I say, “I will get down to the Board of Health and get my culture tube and come back and we will culture this throat.” Since I have done that, I have never had a positive culture. They always come through strep. Klebs-Loeffler bacillus, negative.
