General Symptoms.

Objective. Appetite not diminished but I lost flesh. Twitching of the muscles of all parts of the body, and spasmodic jerking of the whole body (after two hours). Weariness, as though she had not slept enough, with a feeling of warmth in the eyes (after a quarter of an hour), weakness and prostration (after thirty-six hours). General weakness and prostration (after five days). She was obliged to rise half an hour earlier than usual in the morning; was then attacked with faintness, which lasted an hour before she again felt well. She is unable to fall asleep in the morning in bed, on account of restlessness through the whole body. Uneasiness of the whole body; twitching of all the limbs (after one hour). Uneasiness with chilliness through all the limbs while sitting and walking, so that she frequently felt as if obliged to take a deep breath, which, however, was not possible. Subjective. Insensible; whilst in this state a diseased molar tooth was extracted without apparently causing any pain; she did not known the tooth had been taken out. Great excitement of the whole body. A feeling as though all parts of the body were in motion, during rest, Felt myself going very low in a few minutes. Felt numb all over (after a few minutes), pinching pain here and there. Drawing in the whole body. Pulse natural but when she was quiet she felt a pulsation in all parts of the body. Violent pulsation over the whole body, with a feeling as if the whole body wavered. During rest not during motion. Shocks through the whole body causing her to start, in the night during sleep. All symptoms disappeared in a few hours under kali. bich.

Skin.

Objective. The skin in the hollows of the knees was red and scaly like a tetter. Blue spots on the thighs as if caused by pinching. The place becomes white without pain and without inflammation; after a few days it becomes dry and epidermis scales off (from the external application). Eruptions, Dry. The whole forehead is covered with pimples of the size of millet-seeds (sometimes causing sticking pains, but always remaining the same and never filled with serum). The whole right hand is covered with pimples, which are more felt than seen, an itch so violently that she is obliged to scratch them. The itching is worse towards evening, and in the evening in bed. A pimple as large as a pea on the spine of right scapula, painful to the pressure of the clothes; after three days it became covered with a crust, which soon feel off. An eruption of urticaria like nodes; they lasted two or three days, and then disappeared, during which time new ones constantly made their appearance. Eruptions, Moist. A vesicular eruption (as from the bite of a bug), breaks out over the whole body, excepting on the calves, chest, and face, which are free; the itching is worse in the evening between 5 and 7 and in the night. Hydroa beneath the nose (without any coryza), Eruptions, Pustular. The whole body became covered with fatty pustules (like small pox). (The whole body became covered with fatty: itching pimples; the feet were somewhat swollen and quite stiff). A small pustule in the wing of the right nostril. Fatty pimples on the chin and on the right cheek, upon which form yellow, honey like crusts. Subjective. Itching over the whole body. She cannot refrain from scratching on the body the itching ceases after scratching, which causes no further sensation, but on the arms and limbs is followed by violent burning. The itching in the evening become so violent that she was almost crazy. She is unable to sleep the whole night, while in bed, on account of itching and burning, all over. Tearing in the skin of the hands, which became quite rigid and stiff. A crawling in the skin externally beneath the chin, so that she was constantly obliged to rub with the hand, though it did not go away. Itching and biting on the eyelids and about the mouth, which is still worse after rubbing, and then becomes red; after eight days these places desquamate, the whole lasting twelve days. Itching that is rather agreeable in the palm of the right hand between the thumb and index fingers, lasting an hour; it is not quite removed by rubbing (after four hours). Burning itching on the soles of the feet.

Sleep and Dreams.

Sleepiness. Yawning the whole day, with lachrymation,. yawning and stretching as before the paroxysms of ague. Frequent yawning, in the morning, as though she had not slept at night. Frequent yawning, with pressive pain in the forehead and weariness,. Frequent yawning, with chilliness Very frequent yawning and weariness Frequent yawning with chilliness, Very frequent yawning with watering of the eyes, (600.) Sleepiness and much yawning, with a bad taste in the mouth and little appetite (after six days), Much sleepiness; she constantly desired to sleep. (She slept the whole night without consciousness which was not usually the case and in the morning was quite well) (after sixteen hours), Sleeplessness. She could seldom fall asleep before midnight; she had a feeling as if she was unable to fall asleep on account of weariness with pain in all the limbs, she is very weary yet cannot sleep, but tosses about in bed all night till 4 a. m. when regular menstruation sets in; after which she sleep for an hour. For three nights she did not sleep before 1 or 2 o’clock, and then her sleep was mingled with many dreams; on waking at 7 both arms as far as the elbows were asleep (after three days), Sleep restless. She had no rest after 3 o’clock at night; she tossed about from place to place. Sleep bad; she cannot lie to suit her; in the morning the eyes are agglutinated. Sleep bad; she tossed about in bed the whole night, turning from one side to the other, and knew no reason why she could not sleep; in the morning on rising the whole body felt weary, and on the slightest physical exertion warm perspiration ran down all over her; she was frequently obliged to sit down to rest; while standing she sank down lasting twelve hours (after six days),. She woke suddenly about 2 a. m. as if called, she was quite wide awake, and menstruation had come on, she woke three or four times at night without any cause after tossing about in bed for awhile she fell asleep again, and in the morning did not feel weak. Although she frequently woke at night, yet in the morning she seemed to have slept enough and was quite lively; all the head symptoms (* Compare S. 10, 11, 13, 18, 35, 42, 85. *) had disappeared, and her thoughts were again composed. Starting up in fright from sleep. In the morning she had not slept enough (during the first days of the proving) all the limbs felt lame. Dreams. Dreams of erections and desire to urinate, and as he wished to urinate in sleep the glans penis broke off. Anxious dreams the whole night (though as a rule she did not dream at all). She had scarcely fallen asleep when she had anxious dreams. Anxious dreams; she saw a small object which constantly became larger and larger. Anxious dreams; large men were following her and wished to violate her, without sexual excitement. She dreamed that something had happened to her children, on which account she wept, and was very anxious, and on waking was wet with perspiration. She dreamed that it was snowing that she was in the open air and had her little child with her, on which account she was anxious Dreams of a fire, which burned brightly, which made her very anxious and woke her. She laughed in her dream after midnight, as she woke she knew nothing more of it, but was lying uncovered and cold; without chilliness, Feeling of stoppage in the throat in a dream at night. She dreamed of dirty; disgusting linen. She dreamed that she had taken poison and had become very much emaciated on account of it. She dreamed of falling from a height.

Fever

Chilliness. Chilliness (after six hours); the whole forenoon. As soon as she became quiet she felt chilliness through the whole body. Chilliness over the whole body; the skin seemed dead, with a feeling through the whole body as if she had revelled all night and had not slept in the morning after two hours chilliness over the whole body, so that she really shivered, with a great heat in the face, bright red cheeks, icy- cold feet and a feeling of heaviness from the shoulders to the elbows, so that she was unable to carry them to the head; during rest the pains were not felt. but only on motion, with great fretfulness, lasting from 10 a. m. to 10 p. m. During the night she slept well and was quite well in the morning (after four hours). Much chilliness, without heat and without thirst, during the menses, internal chilliness, with red cheeks, in a warm room, she easily became chilly. She was chilly, the hands icy cold (after two hours), Chilly for three days in succession, without thirst or subsequent heat, She was constantly chilly, but still more during menstruation. Shaking chill in the morning on rising from bed, with bright red blood from the nose (after twenty hours.) Shaking chill for five hours, followed by heat of the face, hot hands and cold feet, mingled with chilliness, from 2 to 11 p.m. (after four hours). Shaking chill, with flushes of heat, without thirst, drawing and sticking pains in the forepart of both temporal bones, pressure in the eyeballs and an appearance as if a veil was before them, impairing vision, and on account of which she was obliged to rub the eyes; followed by hot and acrid tears and appearance of inflammation of the white of the eye. (after two hours). Shivering over the whole skin. Alternations of chill and heat, with much thirst, weakness in all the limbs, uninterrupted cough, partly dry and partly loose, but very painful and racking, caused by irritation in the lower portion of the chest, and by a crawling in the middle of the chest up into the throat; the epigastric region was very much shaken by the cough it was accompanied by pressive pain in the middle of vertex, which was aggravated by touch. Chilliness between the shoulders, extending up the back, so that she could not get warm by the stove; during menstruation. Chilliness commencing between the shoulders, and extending to the middle of the small of the back, where it disappeared followed by pain in the small of the back, so that she could neither sit nor lie, but was constantly obliged to walk about, which relieved the pains in the small of the back, but then new pains appeared in the hips, which extended to the middle of the thighs, and did not allow her to lie quietly in bed, and were only relieved by external warmth contact with the external air aggravated the pains in the hip. (* Nux vom speedily relieved. *) Chilliness about 9 p. m. first in the feet, then in the back, head, and arm, where she was chilly to fingers, with a feeling as though the parts were cold, which however was cold, which lasting only a minute (after thirty six hours). She was chilly from the backs, of the feet up to above the knees. Cold feet, Heat. She woke after midnight and felt too warm in bed, but if she put her feet out of bed she became cold. Periodic flushes of heat, the cheeks became bright-red the redness sharply defined. Burning heat Flashing over the whole body and limbs (after two hours). She said she was burning up (after two hours). Dry febrile heat (the cheeks seem painted (over the whole body, without thirst, soon followed by warm sweat; as soon as this stopped, the most violent drawing and sticking pains in the small of the back set in, which did not allow her to sleep during the night, and made turning over difficult. An orgasm and throbbing in all the vessels, beginning in the epigastric region and extending through all parts of the body, worse on motion than during rest (after eighteen hours), Slight fever (after twenty four hours). Very feverish through the whole body, with a good appetite, Increased warmth of the face, and a feeling as if it would perspire, though it was dry,. A very agreeable warmth in the palms of the hands, immediately followed by warm sweat, in the morning in bed, and renewed at different times during the day. Great heat of the face during the midday rest, with throbbing in the cheeks and forehead the whole face looks brownish-red after resting a little the heat of the face disappears but the headache remains, and only ceases after a cup of coffee or a dose of Nux. vom. Therewith, frequent urging to urinate till the next noon, Constant heat of the face; she became short-breath in the warm room, and was obliged to go into the open air, else she became faint, Complained that her feet felt as if in the fire (after two hours). Sweat. On the fifth night of menstruation she perspired very profusely, only on the back and chest (very unusual). Sweaty feet at times.
