Pains as if all the bones were being torn to pieces; with vomiting and pains in the bowels.

Dropsy in internal parts.

Skin and muscles lax.

Chlorosis: menses scanty; skin and mucous surfaces pale, anaemic.

Skin

      Miliaria rubra, with dyspnoea, colic nausea.

Miliary rash on forehead, temples, cheek.

Skin itches; he scratches until he vomits.

Rash (of the lying-in).

Eruptions suppressed, or tardily appearing, with oppression of the chest; vomiting and tickling cough.

Erysipelas, the redness leaves too soon, with renewed vomiting.

Relationship

      Ipecac. is followed well: by Arsen. in cholera infantum, debility, croup, chills, etc.; by Ant. tart. in foreign substances in larynx; by Nux vomica, Arsen. in checked cold; by Apis in keratitis.

Antidotes to Ipecac.: Arnic., Arsen., Cinchon., Nux vomica, Tabac.

Ipec antidotes: Alumina, Arnic., Arsen., Cinchon., vapors of copper, Dulcam, Ferrum, Lauroc., Opium, Tabac., Tart.em.

Complementary: Cuprum.

C. Hering
Hering got the degree of M. D. from the University of Wuezburg with highest honours. The theme of his thesis was "De'Medicina Futura" (The medicine of future). Hering left Germany for West Indies and finally arrived at Philadelphia in Jan, 1833. He established a homeopathic school at Allentown, Pennsylvania, commonly known as "Allentown Academy". Soon he became very popular as a physician. He is known as the 'Father of Homeopathy' in America.
