COUGH.
DRY COUGH-
Tight, dry cough; hot face; high fever (in first stage).
Dry cough, with shortness of breath until he begins to raise sputa.
Dry cough, better from raising a little sputa.
From sudden suffocative attacks at night in sleep. (Grindel.)
CHRONIC, LOOSE COUGH-
Chronic loose cough; copious sputa of the most horrible odor all excretions fetid. (Echinacea).
SPUTA-
None, first stage; scanty and difficult, second stage.
Profuse and fetid in chronic cases.
At first, phlegm; later on, fetid pus.
SENSATIONS-
Sudden stuffed feeling, like arrest of breathing.
Pleuritic pains in chest and burning in throat.
