DRY CORYZA–
Dry coryza, worse during motion, better during rest.
Severe coryza, skin hot and dry.
Nose stopped, constant sneezing, profuse running of nose and eyes.
WORSE–
During motion.
From least exposure.
In open air.
BETTER–
During rest.
In room.
COUGH.
DRY COUGH–
Constant tickling in larynx, with desire to cough.
Cough dry, hoarse and rough. (First stage.)
Cough from damp, cold atmosphere, or from getting wet, must cough a long time to get up the phlegm.
LOOSE COUGH–
Loose, rattling cough, easy sputa.
Spasmodic, loose cough, with profuse mucus in larynx and trachea, which is tough and difficult and compels one to cough a long time before raising it.
Loose and copious mucus, and dull hearing. (Second stage.)
SPUTA–
Difficult, scanty, tough.
Easy, copious sputa : or, Copious, difficult sputa of tough mucus.
Easy, copious, tasteless, often blood-streaked.
WORSE–
During wet weather, loose cough.
Lying down; begins at once to cough.
In warm room.
From deep breathing.
After meals.
BETTER–
In the open air.
PULSE–
Usually quickened.
RESPIRATION–
Asthma with loose, rattling cough, worse in wet weather.
SPECIAL–
Dry, incessant cough at night. Loose cough, worse in damp weather, and in warm room.
