CORYZA.
FLUENT CORYZA-
Extremely sensitive to all odors: Dry sneezing, pressure of forehead, heat in nose, precedes.
Fluent, watery, viscid, acrid coryza and dry, hacking cough.
DISCHARGES-
Tingling in nose until eyes water.
None at first, Afterward, fluent, watery, acrid.
SENSATIONS-
In one spot in larynx.
Soreness, stinging and burning, only relieved.
By raising a little phlegm, after long coughing.
TEMPERAMENT-
Very irritable and aggressive in temper.
Wants to be moved, carried about all the time.
Wants, and don’t want at the same time.
COUGH.
DRY COUGH-
Dry, hacking, constant cough.
Comes on child in sleep, but does not waken him.
Constant irritation to cough from tickling low down in air passages.
Catarrhal hoarseness, eyes burn, and are dry.
Colds and coughs from winter weather.
Hoarseness, high fever, constant cough, fretting and spitefulness; worse after sleep; wants to be carried.
Hoarseness from tough very difficult mucus in larynx.
SPUTA-
None, or very scanty and watery mucus.
None at night, only by day.
Usually when present, scanty and only by day, dry, at night: from tough and very difficult mucus in larynx.
But when present at night, slimy, bitter, pasty tasting, and very scanty.
WORSE-
At night.
From talking, and from expiration.
BETTER-
From being carried about.
LARYNX AND THROAT-
One spot in larynx, stings and feels sore: must cough until a little bit of phlegm is raised.
Rawness and scraping in larynx; hacking cough.
Tickling in throat-pit; scraping dry cough.
With flushes of heat in face, and chills down back and limbs.
CHEST AND RESPIRATION-
Oppressed breathing, slow inspiration, rapid expiration.
Suffocative attacks from disappearance of measles from cold.
SENSATIONS-
Very sensitive to pain.
Sensation of rawness in upper air-passages.
As of a cord about the trachea, with constant desire to cough.
SPECIAL-
Very irritable, ugly-tempered.
Striking, fighting mad, at everything suggested.
