Great sensitiveness to cold air (Cimicifuga).
Scrofulosis with most complaints:.
CORYZA.
Frequent and violent sneezing, mostly evening and morning (chronic nasal catarrh).
WORSE-
Throat worse.
From inhaling least cold air; not from warm air.
After sleeping; must get a drink of water.
BETTER-
From discharge of tough, thick, gum-like tasteless phlegm, mostly mornings.
After eating, or drinking.
SENSATIONS-(Coryza)
Chronic itching in larynx and trachea.
Small dry spot in throat (Cimicifuga).
Inhaled cold air feels cold in larynx and trachea and causes sore throat.
Coldness and burning in the nose.
Coolness in throat, all day; saliva cool.
Dryness of a small spot in throat.
Itching-crawling in throat.
Rawness in throat and chest.
Much dryness in throat, with heat; worse after sleeping, eating, or drinking.
Feeling of sand in throat; continuous dryness.
APPEARANCES-
Throat looks glassy; at the back are stripes of tough mucus.
(Case I) Had this symptom next morning after taking med. 3x; 12 hours. 11-21-1905.
(Case 2) Girl, 13; this symptom; voice nearly lost; was restored in 12 hours. 11-20-1905.
COUGH.
With stitches in throat.
Raw feeling in upper chest, extending to throat.
Worse from mental agitation.
SPUTA-
Mainly from throat and larynx.
Thick, tough, tasteless, or bitter mucus, With much relief after expulsion.
RESPIRATION-
Irregular respirations, at times too slow, at times too fast, with violent cough.
Stitches in chest.
Asthmatic breathing after lying down at night; the trachea feels as if it did not have room enough.
Raw feeling in upper chest extending up into throat.
BETTER-
Rising thick sputa.
