CORYZA.

FLUENT CORYZA–

From least draft of air.

White, watery mucus from nose.

CHRONIC CORYZA–

Chronic catarrh, nostrils stopped by dry lumps of mucus. sleep with mouth open : offensive discharge.

Posterior wall of throat covered with dry, greenish-yellow scab. is wrinkled and fissured up toward nares.

Sense of smell lost.

DISCHARGES–

Chronic, of scabs and plugs of mucus.

Very offensive smelling discharge from nose.

COUGH.

DRY COUGH–

Frequent, recurring paroxysms of dry cough, consequent upon taking cold.

Violent paroxysms of dry cough, followed by sputa of black blood.

Severe pain in upper part of right lung; very difficult respiration.

Constant cough.

SPUTA–

None, cough dry: or, Of black blood from lungs.

WORSE–

From drinking cold water.

In right lung.

BETTER–

Stitches in lung, better from walking.

SENSATIONS–

As if the lung (right) would be torn out with the cough.

Of laceration in region of the heart.

Of heavy load on chest.

Of great coldness after drinking cold water; he shivers from head to foot, and his teeth chatter.

SPECIAL–

Dry, paroxysmal cough, first stage of cold.

Violent, congestive cough, from lungs.

Chronic catarrh : offensive discharge.
