CORYZA.
Violent sneezing, with discharge of thin, watery mucus (Transient).
Stinging in nose and throat.
DISCHARGES-
Thin, watery, at first.
Tough, thick mucus from posterior nares in morning, very difficult to dislodge.
COUGH.
DRY COUGH-
Nervous, spasmodic cough.
Sudden paroxysms of cough, which shake the whole body.
Hard, dry cough in evening with pain in distant parts.
Very spasmodic, dry cough, from stitching, sharp pains in throat.
With every explosive cough, a volume of pungent, fetid air escapes from the throat.
SPUTA-
None; or.
Very scanty, of mucus, white or brownish.
WORSE-
After cold winds.
From ann draft, warm or cold.
Evening, night, when lying.
From dry. cold weather; after cold drinks.
From anger.
THROAT-
Burning pains in throat.
SENSATIONS-
Chilliness in the back.
During cough.
Splitting, bursting pains in the head; Stitching pains in chest, back, bladder, knees, legs, ears, throat. Inclination to vomit, or vomiting.
Feeling in chest as if too full; not enough room.
Air from lungs tastes fetid in mouth.
Pungent air escapes from throat with every cough.
SPECIAL-
Shivering and chilliness after every drink.
Exhalation on coughing leaves an offensive taste in the mouth.
Excessive tingling and tickling in larynx; evening after lying down, with dry, hacking cough; or., with violent, spasmodic cough.
Hoarseness from straining the voice. (Singers and public speakers.
