CORYZA.

DRY COUCH-

Frequent sneezing, especially in the morning; with pain in chest.

Dry and stopped at night, fluent by day (Nux v.)

Dry coryza, nose stopped.

Acrid, burning, discharge from the nose.

Fluent coryza, With pain in the chest and limbs.

With hoarseness preventing loud voice.

DISCHARGES-

FLUENT CORYZA-

Acrid, or bland.

SENSATIONS-

Acrid burning in nose.

Rawness in throat.

Pain in chest and limbs.

COUGH.

DRY COUGH-

Violent, hollow cough, With soreness in chest and rawness and tickling in trachea, with very adherent and difficult scanty mucus; it must be swallowed when finally raised; cannot be raised any farther than sufficient for swallowing.

Cannot cough deep enough to get under the phlegm.

Hollow cough in 5 or 6 paroxysms, With sensation of sore streak down along trachea, where it pains in every paroxysm of cough and almost prevents breathing; worse at every paroxysm.

Continual, annoying cough, With escape of urine, and pain in the hip.

Hollow, racking cough.

SPUTA- Very scanty sticky adherent, hard to get under, or to get up; must be swallowed.

WORSE-

Evening and night waking from sleep.

Deep breathing and exhaling: speaking.

From cold air; draught of air.

Stooping, or bending forward.

After eating, oppression of chest.

BETTER-

Drinking, or sipping cold water (Cuprum).

LARYNX-

Rawness and aphonia.

Aphonia from paralysis of vocal chords: sudden loss of voice: hoarseness of public speakers and singers.

RESPIRATION-

Constriction; must take a deep breath frequently.

Stitches, burning, and rawness in chest.

Sensation as if the clothing were too tight.

SENSATIONS-

Dry cough with pain in hip, and escape of urine.

Of sore streak down trachea; it pains with cough and almost prevents breathing.

Tightness of chest; the clothing feels too tight; must frequently take deep breath.

Frequent need to clear the throat.

Dryness of larynx and air passages.

Burning, tickling and rawness in larynx and aphonia; larynx tender to touch.

Rawness, tickling and burning in chest.

Soreness in the chest.

Tired feeling in limbs as if beaten.

Pain in hips; general soreness and stiffness.

Great rawness of throat and chest when coughing., Must swallow constantly on account of rawness and tickling in throat.

SPECIAL-

The cough, after getting better, comes to a standstill and is dry and hollow.

Chronic hoarseness after acute laryngitis.
