CORYZA

FLUENT CORYZA-

Catarrhal irritation of the nostrils, With frequent sneezing, mostly morning and evening.

Profuse, fluent coryza every evening.

More or less pressure at the root of the nose, with coryza; the nose not entirely stopped.

Sneezing, burning, some Rawness, moderately present, when coughing.

DISCHARGES-

Dryness or fluent and dry in alternation.

Fluent morning; and dry, evening.

WORSE-

Morning and evening; and at night.

COUGH.

DRY COUGH-

Moderate cough, From itching in the larynx; sputa, scanty salty, tenacious.

Chronic catarrhal; hoarseness.

Tickling cough, with constriction of larynx and chest.

Violent cough, Only relieved by bringing up a lump of phlegm (Apis); or the cough is followed by retching and gagging.

Wheezing and rattling in the chest with the coughing.

Severe, dry cough.

Shakes abdomen as if it would fall out; must support bowels with hands.

Hard, dry, continuous cough, From feeling of fumes of sulphur in throat.

LOOSE COUGH-

At times dry and painful: at other times, loose

With purulent, offensive, slimy, salty mucus, copious morning and evening; dry during the day.

SPUTA-

None, cough dry, or alternately dry and loose.

Copious sputa evening and morning.

Scanty and very difficult; or Loose (Chronic cases) and purulent.

Greenish-Yellow, sour or salty, and of unpleasant on fetid odor.

WORSE-

Worse after sleep;breathing worse.

Morning and evening.

Morning on waking, weakness.

Evening up to midnight.

Warm to cold;’ cold food or water, open air.

Loose cough from mucus in larynx.

Worse sitting up, better lying down.

Worse lying on right side.

Breathing reverse: better sitting up or getting up.

BETTER-

From being fanned Lying down.

CHEST AND RESPIRATION-

Breathing short, with cold hands and get.

Cough ceases, edema of lungs impends, With loud, rattling breathing.

Desires to be fanned, must have more air.

Great dyspnea and anxiety, but not restless.

Violent spells of coughing, with profuse, watery expectoration (Emphysema)

Chest much oppressed, respiration with wheezing and rattling; cannot stay in bed for want of air; sputa very difficult to loosen. (Pneumonia 3d type) fetid sputa.

Chest feels fatigued and weak, particularly on waking.

Chronic asthma in old people; attacks once or twice a month; panting breathing, chest terribly constricted as if walled up; has to get up and sit up, to get relief.

Wheezing, rattling; has top get up out of bed to breathe.

Gagging cough, reaching, vomiting.

SENSATIONS-

Face cold, pale, cold skin; wants to be fanned; cold sweat.

Weak and fatigued feeling of chest, particularly on waking.

Burning and rawness in chest.

Burning, as from coals of fire in chest.

Itching in chest from throat down, worse when coughing; morning on waking, weakness.

Great oppression of chest after fluent coryza.

Chest feels weak, tired, even after sleep.

SPECIAL- Old persons; chronic cough; chronic asthma.
