THE ORGANON AND ITS HIDDEN TREASURES. The main points which I wish to raise here are either entirely new and somewhat revolutionary when compared with accepted notions, divulged and applied in the five earlier editions of the Organon, or points already stated but redrafted and re-examined.
DIABETES MELLITUS. Some forms of diabetes can be cured homoeopathically by silver if the accompanying symptoms are similar to the primary proving action of this remedy. I have wondered for a long time why Plumbum has not been prescribed homoeopathically for diabetes, because, of all the remedies proved, none corresponds more generally and particularly to the symptoms of this disease.
HYSTERIA. It is suitable in an hysterical attack accompanied by the “globus hystericus” which is very pronounced with pressure in the esophagus, tightness in throat, rising in throat with desire to frequent acts of swallowing; nausea, fullness in pit of stomach; contracting pressure in abdomen (Hartmann).
EDITORIALS. In order to convince the public and the Foundation, as well as the medical profession, that homoeopathic methods can and do prevent infantile paralysis, the Illinois Homoeopathic and the New York Homoeopathic Medical Societies have undertaken a joint program for the purpose of demonstrating this fact.
THE VITALISM OF THE HAHNEMANNIAN SCHOOL. The vital force or energy is immaterial, instinctive; it acts automatically, never has consciousness of its acts, and is subject to the laws of biology. It manifests itself from the ovular state in the womb of the mother till death and is subject to variations that are transmitted through heredity from an individual to another.
