Wilhelm Karo gives a detail description of the female symptoms of homeopathy remedy Cantharis, in his book Homeopathy in Women’s Disease, published in 1942….

      The drug is especially suitable to slender, sterile women, whose genital disorders are coupled with affection of the urinary organs.

General Symptoms.

      Burning, biting, itching, sticking pains. Aggravation by warmth, touch, pressure and during night. Better by cold.

Special Symptoms.

      Too early and too copious menstruation, with lancinating pains and violent itching in the vagina.

Membranous dysmenorrhoea.

Acrid and burning leucorrhoea, often due to masturbation.
