Sleep and Dreams.

Sleepiness. Yawning (after half an hour, ninth day). Frequent yawning, soon (fourth day). Frequent yawning and stretching (ninth day). Sleepiness (after two hours). Sleepiness (after two hours) continues after the other symptoms have ceased. Drowsiness (with headache), for half an hour. Decided drowsiness; followed by sleep for four hours (after three hours). Deep sleep, for about an hour (after five hours). Heavy sleep, interrupted by the slightest noise (after one hour). Sleeplessness. Sleep at night unrefreshing and disturbed by hallucinations. Night restless, sleep full of dreams (first night). Dreams. Sleep disturbed at night by numerous dreams and frequent waking. Anxious dreams at night.

Fever

Chilliness. Chilliness over the whole body, soon after a dose (second day). Shivering in the body on account of aversion to the drug; immediately (after 150 drops, eleventh day). A chilly feeling in the left cheek, extending to the ear. Chills down the back, with heat in the stomach. Heat. Heat in the evening, with dull headache posteriorly (third day). Heat and inclination to sweat, especially in the face, towards evening (second day). Heat in the face, in the evening (first day). Heat in the forehead, with tightness of the breast. Sweat. Inclination to perspire (third day). Sweat (with colic and diarrhoea), short-lasting, towards evening. Great perspiration (first night). Most profuse perspiration, being wet all over as he could be. Cold sweat upon the surface.

Conditions.

Aggravation (Evening), After sleep, raving, etc. (Attending strictly to anything), Pressure in occiput. (Ascending steps), Headache. (Eating), Pain in abdomen. (After a meal), Dryness, etc. in throat. (Motion), Confusion of head.

Amelioration

(Towards evening), All symptoms. (Uncovering head ), Pressure in occiput.

Dr. Allen compiled the Encyclopedia of Pure Materia Medica over the course of 10 years.
In 1881 Allen published A Critical Revision of the Encyclopedia of Pure Materia Medica.
