ATROPA BELLADONNA

Keynote symptoms of homeopathy medicine Atropa Belladonna, described by A. L. Monroe in his book, Method of Memorizing the Materia Medica, published in 1882….

BELLADONNA)

At three P.M. and eleven at night

The pains are apt to reach their height;

Rheumatism, Gout, Congestion great

Of Head, or Chest, or Womb, with weight,

Phlegmasia Alba Dolens too,

And all Inflammations of deep scarlet hue;

Brain and Meninges with blood are filled,

E’en ending in inflammation;

Leaping from bed in Delirium wild,

Looks ’round him in consternation,

Awakes in fright, the glass to bite,

Dilated Pupils, o’er hot the head,

O’er cold the feet, can’t sleep at night,

Nerves twitching, with eruptions red,

Neuralgias and Hemorrhages by orgasms fed,

And plethoric women with menses ahead.
