CORYZA.

DRY CORYZA–

Dry coryza; with stopped, dry nose.

Over sensitive smell (first stage); or, Loss of smell (second stage).

Throat stiff and dry; no thirst (Rhus tox).

WORSE–

In cold, damp weather.

Walking against wind; hoarseness worse.

COUGH.

DRY COUGH–

Dry, barking, or hacking cough, with sudden loss of breath.

Dry, irritating, hysterical cough; slight in morning and forenoon; begins in afternoon and lasts evening and all night.

Cough with soreness in larynx and chest.

Cough during pregnancy.

SPUTA–

None.

WORSE–

Walking against wind.

Begins in afternoon and lasts evening and all night.

Getting warm in bed; getting overheated.

In damp, cold weather; from cold applications.

Living in damp, cold places; cold bathing.

Standing in cold water.

Falling asleep, and after waking.

After drinking, cough dry; loose, after eating.

BETTER–

Slight in morning and forenoon.

In warm, dry weather. From warm applications.

After eating, cough loose.

CHEST AND RESPIRATION–

Dyspnea, with feeling of weight in chest.

Breathing oppressed from pit of stomach.

Muscles of chest feel constricted; worse from cold washing.

SENSATIONS–

Dryness of eyes, nose, lips, mouth, tongue, and throat; at least, a feeling of dryness.

Mucous membranes inflamed.

Mouth and throat dry, but no thirst.

Difficult inhalation, pain in diaphragm.

Hysterical throat, hysterical aphonia.

Oppression, constriction, tension in throat, chest, and stomach.

Mouth becomes dry, without thirst; no sleep; very restless; pulse, rapid, soft, small.
