CORYZA.
DRY CORYZA–
Dry coryza, with sneezing, diminished sense of smell, and soreness in chest.
FLUENT CORYZA–
Fluent, watery coryza; excoriation of nose and upper lip; scabs in nose.
Heat, burning, scraping, peppery feeling of palate and fauces.
DISCHARGES–
Thin, more or less acrid.
Watery, or yellowish, or bloody; burning.
SPECIAL–
Twitching of facial muscles.
COUGH.
DRY, SCANTY COUGH–
Severe, dry, hacking cough; worse at night, especially until midnight; with dryness, scraping, and burning in throat and pharynx, oppression and contraction in chest, and constant chilliness, even in bed; but no desire for heat.
Violent, uninterrupted cough until relieved by vomiting.
Hoarseness with rawness in chest and dry cough.
Hacking cough, with dry, raw, burning throat, scanty mucus, and anxious, oppressed breathing.
SPUTA–
Dry, or scanty difficult mucus at night; yellow and viscid in the morning, tasting saltish or offensive.
WORSE–
Eating or drinking anything hot; must cough until it is vomited.
Evening and night; evening to midnight.
BETTER–
From vomiting.
SENSATIONS–
Thirst, but drinks little.
Chilly, but does not desire heat, nor fear open air.
Burning, dryness, and scraping in throat and trachea.
Stitches in chest.
