CORYZA.

FLUENT CORYZA–

Fluent coryza by day; dry, at night.

Frequent sneezing without coryza.

Dryness and stoppage of nose; cannot breathe though nose; worse at night.

Pain, stinging, and soreness at root of nose.

DISCHARGES–

Fluent by day.

Dry at night.

Accumulation of thick mucus in throat.

SENSATIONS–

Soreness, stinging and pain at root of nose.

Stinging as of bees.

COUGH.

DRY COUGH–

Very spasmodic, dry, violent, scraping, tickling cough, from midnight to 4 A.M.; must sit up and hold the head; child must be held up during the cough. Dry, tickling cough; worse evening on lying down.

Dry, hacking, regular, unceasing cough.

Dry, continuous shaking cough, with much dyspnea, but no sputa.

Dry, hacking, continuous cough, with regularity, like the tick of a clock.

SPUTA–

None, or white mucus.

WORSE–

Evening.

Midnight to 4 a.m.

Lying down, much worse.

From coughing, dyspnea worse.

Morning.

From talking and yawning.

BETTER–

From coughing and clearing throat.

CHEST AND RESPIRATION–

Stitching pains in left chest.

Great dyspnea with dry cough.

Pressure and heaviness of chest, with dyspnea; worse from coughing.

THROAT– Stinging in throat.

Thick mucus in throat.

Constriction on swallowing, with sharp pain.

SENSATIONS–

Sharp, stinging pains in nose, throat and chest; with dry or scanty discharge.
