CORYZA.

DRY, STOPPED CORYZA –

Dry, coryza, with complete closure of nose, and crampy pain at root of nose; worse wet, cold weather.

Dry coryza, nose stopped; greenish lumps from posterior mares, in the morning; nose sore to touch; worse in evening.

Alternately dry and fluent coryza.

DISCHARGES –

None; or alternately dry and fluent.

Chronic, greenish lumps from posterior nares.

WORSE –

Wet, cold weather.

In the evening.

SENSATIONS –

As of a leaf closing the trachea.

Painful, crampy feeling at root of the nose.

Dryness and obstruction of nose.

Pain in throat between acts of swallowing.

DISEASES.

Chronic catarrh and sore throat.

Chronic laryngismus.

COUGH.

DRY COUGH.

Tickling cough with hoarseness, rawness in larynx; breath feels hot; larynx feels constricted.

Disagreeable heat in chest; larynx feels dry.

Dry, incessant cough, which ceases as soon a he lies down.

Deep cough with scanty sputa; it ceases as soon as he lies down.

SPUTA –

None, cough dry, incessant, until he lies down.

Scanty, very adhesive, lumpy, and tough, causing long efforts at coughing.

Easy in morning, of yellowish green lumps, even coming up without cough.

Of reddish or blood phlegm.

WORSE –

Sitting up, or while up.

From talking, or laughing, cough and pains.

From deep breathing.

About 5 p.m.; incessant until he lies down.

BETTER –

Lying down.

SENSATIONS –

Breath hot and burning with disagreeable heat in chest.

Rawness in larynx, with acute cough; with chronic hoarseness. Dull stitches on both sides of larynx, extending to ears.

Bruised pain in chest; stitches in chest and sternum.

Stitching pains through right lung, dry cough; ceasing on lying down; Hemoptysis; anemia.

Pains in various parts, head, ears, stomach, arms; worse from talking or laughing.

SPECIAL DISEASES –

Chronic laryngitis.

Acute laryngitis.

Chronic bronchitis.

Tuberculosis.

Eustachian deafness from chronic inflammation of fauces.
