COUGH.
DIFFICULT COUGH–
Frequent, violent, spasmodic cough, with tearing pain in head; followed by Brief, violent palpitation of heart; comes on between 11 and 1 at night.
Violent, spasmodic cough, face red, lips blue, wheezing rattling breathing; very fretful, jumping in sleep. (Whooping cough)
WORSE–
While sitting.
At night 11 to 1; difficult, fretful crying.
BETTER–
By drinking water.
CHEST AND RESPIRATION–
Difficult breathing; pressure on chest.
Wheezing, rattling breathing, with violent, spasmodic cough.
Wheezing, groaning, labored.
Spasmodic breathing, face blue, or purple (red).
PULSE–
Small, rapid, hard, or thready.
SENSATIONS.
Spasmodic action of respiratory system; breathing, cough: also starting in sleep.
