CORYZA.
FLUENT CORYZA-
Watery, very irritating, and bad-smelling discharge from the nose, which corrodes the upper lip.
Itching and burning in nose.
At night; tickling in the throat and irritation to cough.
Profuse lachrymation, much sneezing.
Thick, yellow coryza.
Crusts in the nose, with constant inclination to remove them.
Chronic scrofulous ozena, terribly offensive.
Cracking of nostrils; snuffles in infants.
DISCHARGES-
Thin and watery, at first, acrid, offensive.
Thick and yellow in the later stages.
Yellow-greenish discharge, not offensive.
Ozaena scrofulosa, with unbearable odor.
WORSE-
At night; but present by day.
COUGH.
Dry, short cough in paroxysms, especially at night, Followed by heat in the throat.
Tickling cough, as from inspired dust. (First stage.)
Frequent, hard cough, With white expectoration mingled with streaks (threads) of blood. (Second stage.)
Hoarseness, with chronic irritation of air passages.
Constant loose cough, With thick yellow sputa. (Chronic cough.)
SPUTA
None at first; then watery; later, white and blood-streaked; Thick and yellow; in succession.
SENSATIONS-
Tickling in the throat.
Heat in nose, throat, and chest.
Oppression of chest.
Shifting pains in chest.
Constriction and anxiety in chest, with strong beating of heart.
Feels as if chest would burst with palpitation.
SPECIAL-
Much fatigue and weariness in all the body and limbs.
