ANTIMONIUM CRUDUM

TEMPERAMENT

Peevish and fretful; loathing of life; sad and sulky; or very impressionable.

CONDITION –

Depressed vitality of all the mucous surfaces.

Skin unhealthy; subject to eruptive diseases; pustular, or of epidermis.

CORYZA.

DRY, OR FLUENT –

Nose painful when breathing, as from inhaling too cold air or acrid vapors.

Breathing cold air is painful.

NOSE –

Cracked, crusty, scabby.

THROAT – Raw, scrapy.

Hawks much thick, yellow mucus from posterior nares.

COUGH.

Frequent dry cough.

Spasmodic severe cough, shaking whole body, with copious, Involuntary urine.

After rising in morning, which seems to come from abdomen.

Beginning with severe attacks, but finally it becomes lighter, and ends in only slight hacking cough.

Provoked by heat of stove, by looking into the fire; by heat of sun; or from hot room.

SPUTA –

Mostly none; acute cases.

Abundant mucus; chronic cases.

WORSE –

Breathing cold air is painful.

From heat, especially direct heat of stove.

Morning after rising cough worse.

Looking into the fire, cough worse.

Over-heated, cough worse.

Going into sunshine, especially hot sun.

Exhaling, cough worse.

After eating, cough worse; breathing worse.

Cold washing; children cough.

BETTER –

Warm washing

After resting.

LARYNX –

Voice lost; can scarcely utter a word.

Worse getting over-heated; laryngitis of singers.

Plug in larynx, feeling of.

Spasms, violent, of throat.

CHEST –

Constriction of chest, severe; worse after eating.

Burning and stitches with cough:.

RESPIRATION –

Worse exhaling.

Suffocation after eating.

Sighing after eating.

SENSATIONS –

Cold air seems acrid and painful to nostrils.

Abdomen, as if the cough came from.

Plug, in the larynx, which becomes alternately thicker and thinner.

Soreness accompanies plug-feeling.

Burning in chest; stitches in chest.

Constriction of chest; worse after eating.

SPECIAL –

Tendency to pustular diseases; pustular eruptions.

Depressed digestion, with white, deeply coated tongue.

Depressed vitality.
