AMMONIUM MURIATICUM

CORYZA.

Stoppage of nose.

Great soreness of nose; tenderness; with loss of smell.

Frequent sneezing, even at night; rousing from sleep, and followed by cough.

DISCHARGES –

None, or Watery, acrid, corroding the lip.

Bluish, thin, fluent discharge.

Viscid phlegm in the throat.

SENSATIONS –

Soreness and tenderness of nose.

Burning of the excoriated lip.

Soreness of throat and larynx, with viscid phlegm, which he hawks up in lumps.

Hoarseness and burning, in P.M., can scarcely speak.

COUGH.

DRY COUGH –

Much water in mouth.

Day and night; from tickling in throat.

Rapid, suffocating; in paroxysms in evening.

Violent paroxysms at 6 P.M., cannot utter a word.

Dry in morning, loose in P.M.; with stitches in left side.

Loose, deep, violent cough, with tolerably fee expectoration. (Chronic.) (See Myosotis.)

SPUTA –

None; dry cough, with much water in mouth.

None in morning; loose P.M. and evening.

Frequent hawking of lumps of mucus with rawness of back of throat.

Hoarseness and burning in larynx in P.M.; can hardly speak a loud word.

SENSATIONS –

Asthma, from using the arms.

Shortness of breath; must stand will to get breath.

Burning in small spots in chest.

Sore feeling in lungs.

Heaviness in chest wakens him at night: makes him restless.

Coldness between the shoulder-blades, with affections of the lungs.

Heaviness of chest when walking in the open air.

WORSE –

Eating or drinking cold things.

Lying on painful side; or lying on the back.

Deep breathing, stitching pain in left side worse.

6 P.M. spasmodic cough worse, with suffocating breathing; obstinate constipation.
