According to Dr. Crile the proper proportion of positive and negative elements of the normal body produces a balance in polarity, any disturbance of which causes disease, the disease varying with a proportionate change in positive and negative elements.

Brisbane stated on March 1st, 1931, that bacteriologists are told that violent diphtheria poison, the toxin carrying the disease that has killed so many millions of children, has been successfully attacked by treatment with short radio waves. These waves with a frequency of from 80,000,000 to 158,000,000 per second, reduce the strength of the poison by one-half.
Johns Hopkins University proves by Dr. Barnett Cohen of the Medical School that bacteria, of which thousands might be unnoticed in a corner of your eye, can develop little electric batteries of their own.
About one hundred years ago Robert Brown, an English botanist, first described a zigzagging movement of certain very minute particles found present in the life fluid of plants. This has since been designated as the Brownian movement. and has been described as a bombardment of colloidal particles. Michael Faraday and John Tyndal, both English physicists living about this same time, first described this same Brownian movement in connection with colloidal suspensions-hence the now classical Faraday- Tyndal phenomenon.
When we study this zigzagging bombardment of colloidal molecules we can safely conclude that the Brownian movement or the sudden leaping and bouncing away from one another is nothing but the negative electricity or electrons upon the surface of one colloidal particle repelling a like negative electricity contained within the surface of another such colloidal body-thus the cause of the phenomenon first described by Robert Brown.
To us as scientific medical practitioners the study of the Brownian movement of the blood serum colloids is of basic importance. In the first place because the colloids found in the blood serum, by aid of the ultramicroscope, govern the physiological chemistry of the metabolic processes in health and in disease (See The Electro-Chemical Status of Colloids Found in the Blood Serum, by Archie Jones, 1030). Second, because the therapeutic value of a drug is entirely dependent upon and determinable by that attitude such drug molecule may show towards the blood serum colloids in terms of valence and the electrical theory of matter. (See also the above reference).
To us as scientific homoeopathic physicians the study of this like repelling like in the production of the classical Brownian movement in relation to the blood serum colloids in any and all states of health and disease is of peculiar interest.
About an hundred years ago Samuel Hahnemann first described a likeness between the action of cinchona and the disease condition malarial fever. The quinine molecule in the cinchona, no matter how small a dosage of high potency, or how massive in quantities prescribed, has a like electrochemical reduction attitude towards the blood serum colloids as does the individual parasite of malaria. I have here used the coined expression “electro-chemical reduction”, (E-C-R), because there is both a reduction of the electrical potential and a reduction or cleavage of the chemical mass:.
The electro-negative methyl group; the electro-negative nitrogen atoms; and the electro-negative oxygen atom all found in the periphery or surface of the drug molecule are like the gram negative and all other bacteria in their electron seeking attitude towards the blood serum colloids, which blood serum colloids are in my estimation not the units of protective mechanism to the host, but contain such units of defense mechanism of the host in the form of available electrons.
I wish to quote direct from an article entitled Physics in Medicines, by Charles F. Stocks, A.M., M.D., D.Sc., LL.D., F.A.C.S., New York, appearing in the Medical journal and Record of December 2nd, 1925.
Let us for a moment visualize cell structure without going into the details of cell chemistry. The nucleus is electro- positive and acid separated by a semi-permeable membrane from the electro-negative alkaline cytoplasm. As far as I know the majority of pathological entities are electro-positive in charge, i.e., the cytoplasm has been depleted of electrons, oxidation (cell respiration) is interfered with, hydration follows and the formation of lactic takes place. The cell is sick. The semipermeable membrane has become more permeable, the potential is lowered; response to impulses is feeble. Lillie has shown that calcium tends to hold up the semipermeability of the filmy cell membranes, in other words, to check permeability. The importance of thoroughly investigating calcium metabolism clinically is obvious.
If it is true that certain bacteria are cells without cytoplasm, in other words, wild nuclei, devastating the tissues and fluids of the body in their cytoplasmic activities, then it is not difficult to account for such pathologic cell changes as described, locally, generally or selectively. The electro – positive bacteria deplete the electro-negative cytoplasm of electrons and the healthy dynamic equilibrium is disturbed or possibly destroyed as the case may be.
Through the application of the principles evolved by the researches in physics to clinical medicine, we are acquiring q more definite conception of the basic factors of health and disease, In my opinion out of the physics laboratories will come the greatest strides on the remedial side of medicine, indeed, the advance is well under way.
In dealing with a subject so vast as physics in medicine only a point here and there could possibly be discussed, still I have striven to lead the trail into the field of cytology or cytology or cytophysics, if you like.
As the magnet is so intimately concerned with the elucidation of the electronic reactions, and as this so little comprehended instrument, which still baffles our attempts to disclose its identity, possess the power of absorbing as it were or abolishing all material as well as non-material (Human) vibrations, let us see what led Hahnemann to his investigations for this peculiar modality. It will certainly be of interest to the student of his modern method to read what this great medical genius had to say upon the subject. This record will be found in the Materia Medica Pura, Vol. III, in which he devotes between forty and fifty pages to the consideration of the symptoms developed by this energy, Magnes artificialis, i.e., Magnetic Poli Ambo (Emanations from both Poles); Magnetis Polus Articus, (North Pole), and Magnetis Polus Australis.
Hahnemann remarks upon the healing powers of the magnet in his final revision of the Organon, (Sec. 287, Boericke translation).
It is interesting to call attention to the sterilizing of milk by sound. The divide from continuous sterilization of milk by sound consists of a hollow nickel tube, enclosed in a mental sleeve, leading to an inverted funnel. The tube and sleeve are continued in a large container through which the ilk is poured.
A very high pitched sound, higher than the highest note on a piano, is produced electrically in the nickel tube and concentrated in the mouth of the funnel.
The milk is poured down through an opening in the upper end of the container and is made to travel up the sleeve to the mouth of the inverted funnel. where the sound is most concentrated. The sound waves, the investigators reported, kill 99 per cent of the bacteria in the milk without spoiling it for human use and without harming the vitamins.
Just how sound kills the bacteria is not yet understood. Dr. Gaines and Dr. Chambers stated that their device would sterilize and fluid containing bacteria and could be kept in operation continuously, so that the milk from the dairy could be fed directly into the second sterilizer and poured from it directly into bottles.
