Characteristic Symptoms
Vertigo by going downstairs. Sensation of heaviness in head as if it was pressed down from a weight, the scalp seems light, numb, and difficult to move. Twitchings of the upper eyelids, especially left. Must rub the eyes in the night, when waking, before opening them. The eyelids heavy and dry. Epiphora. Pupils completely dilated. The air from the nose is cold. Much dryness in mouth; a piece of sugar cannot be dissolved. Chilliness in the whole body with heat in face. Wrapping up and sleep gives warmth and sweat. Most used in rheumatic diseases. All these symptoms are confirmed in practice.
