Symptoms
Acts decidedly upon the urethral mucous membrane, producing a considerable degree of irritation and inflammation (C.).
The urinary symptoms give the keynotes for this remedy (Br.)
Piles with much itching (Aloe., Ignatia, Nux vomica, Sulphur) (Br.).
Thirsty and hungry, yet as soon as they begin to eat or drink they lose all desire (reverse of Calcarea) (A.)
Intermittent fever complicating with traumatic or chronic urethritis of stricture; with abdominal affections and perverted or defective assimilation (A.).
Priapisms, with curvature of the penis (Cannabis sativa, Cantharis, Nux- V., Sulphur) (C.),
Profuse emission toward morning(Carbo vegetabilis, nux vomica, Psorinum) (C.).
SUDDEN DESIRE TO URINATE (Cannabis sativa, Cantharis, Mercurius) (A.).
CHILD JUMPING UP AND DOWN WITH PAIN IF CANNOT BE GRATIFIED AT ONCE (A.).
Pain at the root of the penis, or neck of the bladder (A.).
Burning, tingling from the perineum throughout the whole urethra (A.).
INTENSE ITCHING IN THE URETHRA (Berberis, Cannabis sativa, China, Ferrum, Graphites, Kali-Chl., Ledum, Lycopodium, Mercurius, Merc-C., Meser., Natrum muriaticum, Acid nitricum, Nux vomica, Petroleum, Sepia, Sulphur, Sulph-I., Thuj) (N.).
ITCHING IN THE URETHRA WITH GONORRHOEA (Merc-C., Natrum muriaticum, petr; following gonorrhoea — Acid nitricum,; with gleet — Natrum muriaticum, Acid nitricum, Nux vomica, Petroleum) (K.).
VOLUPTUOUS ITCHING IN THE FOSSA NAVICULARIS (Thuja) (K.).
Gonorrhoea: Sudden irresistible desire to urinate; intense biting; itching deep in the urethra; must rub it with some rough article for relieving the pain (A.).
Gleet (or chronic gonorrhoea) (Agn., Bromium, Calcarea phos., Ferrum, Hydrastis, Kali-S., Medorrhinum, Natrum muriaticum, Nat-S., PEtr., Sepia, Silicea, Sulphur, Thuj) (A.).
Must hasten to urinate or urine will escape (Arnica, Cantharis, Clem., Kreosotum, Nux vomica, Pulsatilla, SEp., Sulphur) (K.).
Milky discharge from the urethra (Cannabis sativa, Caps., cop., Ferrum, Iodium, Kali carb., Kali-Chl.,, Lachesis, Mercurius, Natrum muriaticum, Nux vomica, Sepia) (Br.).
Burning in the navicular fossa while urinating (Clem., Kali bichromicum, Natrum muriaticum, Thuj) (C.).
Orifice of the urethra agglutinated with mucus (Sepia) (C.).
AGGRAVATION:
Before and during urination; during acute or chronic gonorrhoea : and towards morning;
AMELIORATION:
From rubbing the urethra with some rough article.
