THE FUTURE OF “SCIENTIFIC” MEDICINE

Hormone treatment in myxoedema, pernicious anaemia, Addisons disease and Simmonds disease has similarly failed as it leaves untouched the causes of these maladies. Only half-witted persons would seriously consider the question of injecting hormone extracts to effect changes in temperament or character, and only half-witted persons would submit to them.

The quality and quantity of our hormones depend on our nutrition, and the regeneration of them can only about by diet, fasting, homoeopathic treatments and other natural means.

For centuries orthodox medicine has blighted and destroyed the lives of millions by practising savage superstitions, in the name of healing. In the present era of scientific knowledge and widespread enlightenment it might be expected that its influence would be on the wane and that a proper perspective of the meaning and conduct of life should have filtered through society.

Yet all that has happened is that the teaching of and belief in savage superstitions have been abandoned, and scientific superstitions which are actually more barbarous have been adopted in their place. However, “hybrid” or madness has always been regarded as the capital sin against the gods, who remorselessly pursue and destroy those guilty of it.

So scientific medicine is surely doomed when its interpreters and prophets can commit it to such infamies of the future as the predetermination of sex by electricity, the prolongation of life by keeping active the thymus gland, and the extra-uterine culture of the human species. Apropos of the latter atrocity our author presumably on the inspiration of medical illuminati writes:.

“I have no doubt, although I have no reason to believe that it will be within thirty years scope of this book that Science will discover some method of ectopic gestation and grow babies outside the human body altogether. Their knowledge is definitely tending that way, with the growing practice of the artificial culture of human cells.”.

It may be knowledge to many persons that such experimentation has been in progress for years. It is the logical outcome of the belief in vaccination, hormone treatments, excision of unnecessary organs, rejuvenation, euthanasia, etc.

A grossly materialistic and myopic conception of existence together with a reluctance to submit to the natural laws is at the bottom of all orthodox practice from the medico who is innocent of anything worse than injecting horses blood into children to ward off diphtheria to Voronoff who is eager to improve the vigour of the race by crossbreeding with apes.

Those who believe in the spiritual aspect of existence and consider Life is something more than a mere accident of the binding powers of the carbon atom will strenuously oppose this evil thing that is being evolved in our midst. Whatever the purpose of our existence is, it can only be advanced by obedience to the immutable laws of Nature, and the records of geology and history are full of examples of disaster caused by departures from them.
