ACUTE SORE THROATS A LESSON FOR BEGINNERS

The few remedies given are only intended to introduce you to homoeopathy and to interest you sufficiently to cause you to make a study of it. You may be able to save a life. The drug signs are so simple that there is no chance of even a beginner mixing them up. Even an allopathic doctor can gain something by a study of homoeopathy if he but starts with our simplest books as any child would at a kindergarten.

When you make a cure pass the good word on to some friend and bid him or her try it. The allopaths cannot blame anyone for so trying or us for telling the truth to the world. They close their brains to all appeal for study, somebody suffering thereby and they will do so until it becomes the fashion or command. You can influence this if you care.

Just a word on nursing such cases. For all sore throats use Antiphlogistine hot. I mean hot, and not lukewarm. Hold the bandages snug up to the neck by means of a bandage run up over the head and pin to the neck bandage behind the ear. Nothing is more sloppy and useless than a throat bandage which sags away from the line of the jaw. Follow my “Nursing Hints” as found after “Severe Coughs”.

DONT SPRAY WITH PEROXIDE OF HYDROGEN. This often starts haemorrhages. Some very bland spray and very fine spray may be used, but change spray if obnoxious to patient. Some isolated families may be able to employ Permanganate of Potash, or even a salt spray at a pinch. Trust your homoeopathic drugs as they stimulate nature to overcome microbes.

One word more. Meat extractives are prohibited, especially with septic throats. They are most perfect culture media for all microbes. I have never seen the following in print. The German successes in combating diphtheria taught me to use Malic acid sprays, gargles and drinks for all septic throat cases.

Buy the greenest apples in the market. Cut them up, skins, seeds and all. Boil them well, cool and strain, and you have a Malic acid infusion for spray, gargle and drink, which is a considerable factor in curing anything that suggests a nasty septic throat, even if diphtheric. Citric acid is no good herein. Dont say that you cant believe in this because you have never heard of it. Try it ! which is more sensible. The Germans know many things which are very good.

A final word. Remember the purity of your drugs is as important as the choice. So buy safely, from our homoeopathic chemists who advertise in “HEAL THYSELF” and who are on their mettle to serve well.
