INNER CHEST AND LUNGS.


Expectoration of purulent matter, offensive in odor and taste and accompanied by pain, referred to third costal cartilage (really in left bronchus) ; pain may or may not go through to back. θ Bronchial catarrh. θ Phthisis.
Useful in third stage of phthisis.
Pain at third left costal cartilage, where it joins with rib ; rales through lungs and muco-purulent sputa. θ Phthisis.
Suppurative processes affecting left lung, with pain at third left costal cartilage.
  

SENSATIONS.


Pain : in left third costal cartilage.
Intolerable itching : of eruption on hands.
  

SKIN.


Eruption, especially on backs of hands, itching intolerably at night and bleeding when scratched.
Violent itching.
Skin cracked, bleeding when scratched, with sleeplessness.
  

RELATIONS.

C. Hering
Hering got the degree of M. D. from the University of Wuezburg with highest honours. The theme of his thesis was "De'Medicina Futura" (The medicine of future). Hering left Germany for West Indies and finally arrived at Philadelphia in Jan, 1833. He established a homeopathic school at Allentown, Pennsylvania, commonly known as "Allentown Academy". Soon he became very popular as a physician. He is known as the 'Father of Homeopathy' in America.
