Nose

Objective. End of nose red and burning, sore (second day). Stoppage of the nose. Some catarrhal stoppage of the nose (second day). Nose was stopped. Sneezing. Sneezing, with traces of blood in the nasal mucus. Subjective. Burning in the root of the nose and in the throat. Prickling in the tip of the nose, like an irritation to sneeze.

Face

Face red, puffy. Great paleness. Face as if bloated (third day). Lips dry. Compressive feeling in the muscles of the under jaw, particularly alongside the larynx (immediately). Drawing pain in the left lower jaw.

Mouth

Teeth. Sensation of bluntness of the teeth. Toothache in the molars of the right under jaw. Toothache in every tooth, from cleansing the mouth with cold water in the morning (third day). Slight sticking in the root of a carious tooth, upper right side (after two hours). Jerking-sticking pain in a carious tooth at 9 A.M. (second day). Dull drawing-sticking toothache in a carious upper back tooth, and also in a lower tooth opposite it, at 6 A.M., lasting in the first tooth till after rising (for half an hour), (second day). Stitches extending from the crown to the root of a sound double tooth of the lower right side (after three hours). Toothache reappeared in the afternoon, tearing, and at the same time drawing; it increased during the afternoon, and was only somewhat relieved after midnight; it was intolerable in great cold. Throbbing pain, with burning in the left back teeth, not violent, coming on in the evening an lasting through the night. The toothache of yesterday is increased, and is accompanied by swelling around the painful tooth, which extends towards the palate; chewing cause no pain, but only itching and tension. The toothache overpowered all other symptoms; it lasted the whole day, and was worse at night; on account of this I was unable to observe properly my other symptoms. General Mouth. Twitches in the corners of the mouth. Clammy mouth, with bad taste and frequent spitting. Irritability of the mouth and pharynx, with sensation of constriction of the larynx, provoking cough, which amounts to retching, with expectoration of mucus. Burning in the mouth. Violent burning on the lips and tongue, and in the throat (immediately). Most excessive burning in the mouth and pharynx, which are extremely painful. Tongue. Tongue coated (noon). Sensation of coldness on the tongue, soon changed to a sticking- burning, followed by persistent sensation like that caused by an acrid and astringent substance, as, for example, pepper (immediately). Burning, like pepper, on the tip of the tongue and in the throat (soon after the one-tenth). Fine burning upon the tongue (papillae), (immediately). Sharp burning pain on the tongue, as if form oil of peppermint, with peculiar onion and garlicky taste (immediately). Sticking-burning on the tongue. Pricking sensation on the tip of the tongue. The mucous membrane of the mouth and throat was very anaesthetic. Saliva. Increased secretion of saliva. Very much increased secretion of saliva. Salivation, with nausea. Saliva glutinous. Accumulation of water in the mouth (second day). Accumulation of water in the mouth, together with frequent attacks of nausea. Accumulation of water of a sweetish taste in the mouth. Increased spitting. Taste. Taste extremely repulsive, acrid, and scraping; swallowing caused burning in the throat and along the oesophagus. Taste sweetish, offensive. Pasty taste in the mouth. Nauseous, pasty taste in the mouth (after three hours). Metallic taste in the mouth. Metallic, sulphur-like taste. Peculiar saltish sourish taste all the forenoon, since the commencement of the proving. Bitter sour taste in the morning. Constant bitter taste. Awoke with a very bitter taste in mouth, which disappeared after breakfast (second day). A glass of beer, taken between 5 and 6 P.M., has not it usual taste. Taste blunted, frequently herby.

Throat

Salty taste of the mucus raised from the throat. Continual oniony taste and smell in the throat. Much hawking, with inclination to vomit (after one hour and a half). Dryness of the throat. She constantly complained of dryness of the throat. Great dryness in the throat compelled her to drink enormous quantities of water. Sensation of a hair in the throat. Sensation in the throat like that caused by an acrid substance (immediately). (Pains and burning in the throat, with profuse catarrh, caused by cold, wet weather). Burning in the throat. Burning pain in the throat. Burning in the throat, extending to the stomach. Burning and scraping in the throat, and oesophagus. Scraping in the throat. Scraping sensation in the throat, causing cough. A scraping, raw pain (as from a foreign body) in the left side of the throat; on swallowing, it extends to the left ear; lasts one to two minutes (third day). Scraping rough sensation in the throat, with fine transient stitches. Rawness in the throat. Roughness and scraping in the throat (second day). Constant scratching and scraping in the throat, as from catarrh, all day. Burning in the soft palate (after three-quarters of an hour). Tickling in posterior part of palate, exciting a hard dry cough, soon after lying down. Rough scraping sensation in the fauces (after one hour). Burning and scraping in the whole pharynx Swallowing difficult.

Stomach

Appetite. Increased appetite. Desire for food, with increased secretion of saliva. Hunger, together with aversion to eating (second day). Hunger, though with aversion to the food set before him; it, however, had real relish (after five hours). Sensation of hunger, with, however, aversion to food (second day). Appetite diminished. Little appetite. Little appetite, especially for meat (third day). Loss of appetite. Appetite is lost (after repeated does). Constant anorexia. Constant satiety, for several weeks. Thirst. Desire for drinks. Thirst great, especially for beer. Eructations. Eructations, with nausea. Eructations and inclination to vomit. Eructations, extraordinary in quantity and loudness, and very fetid flatus, in afternoon. Eructations of air. Eructations of wind (immediately). Eructations of a very bitter fluid, at 10 A.M. (third day). Eructations of an acid, corrosive fluid. Eructations of nauseating, disgusting fluid. Empty eructations. Empty eructations, tasting and smelling of the remedies (soon after the 1/10). Insufficient eructations (second day). Frequent acid eructations. Frequent eructations of air, as after eating radishes. Frequent noisy eructations, followed by amelioration (as in neuralgia coeliaca), (second day). Frequent odorless eructations of air, with burning in the pit of the stomach. Continual sour eructations without vomiting. Copious, noisy eructations (second day). Copious eructations of wind and discharge of flatus. Nauseous eructations. Slight sourish eructations, one hour after drinking coffee, at 8 A.M. (fifth day). Burning, sour eructations twice (after one hour). Burning, sour, corrosive eructations, in the afternoon, one to two hours after eating (fourth day). Heartburn the whole day, especially after smoking. Severe heartburn, exciting cough. Violent heartburn the whole day, especially in the forenoon and at every eructation. Uprising of milk that had been eaten, without nausea and vomiting. Nausea and Vomiting. Nausea. Nausea, with pressive frontal headache. Nausea and inclination to vomit. Nausea, and greenish vomiting several times daily. Nausea, with pressure in the stomach, lasting only a short time. During its use was occasionally sick, and vomited several times. General sick feeling the whole afternoon, with sensation of nausea, slight colic, aversion to beer, etc. Inclination to vomit. Inclination to vomit, frequently preceded by nausea, like a faintness. Inclination to vomit, relieved by eructations. Inclination to vomit, which was especially noticed on entering a room, or on going from the room into the open air; the symptom was always transient. Well- developed status gastricus. viz., headache, discomfort, coated tongue, indisposition to exertion, and general feeling of ill- humor (second day). Flatulence rise from the stomach, having the acrid smell and taste of the drug, frequently repeated (soon after taking). Sensation of emptiness and discomfort in the stomach. Uncomfortable sensation in the stomach (soon after taking). Sensation of discomfort in the epigastric region, with nausea, frequent eructations of air having the taste and smell of the drug. Region of stomach more or less painful all day (second day). Pain in the stomach, after breakfast, especially worse on deep breathing. Heaviness in the stomach, extending over the whole epigastric region. Warmth in the pit of the stomach, extending upward through the whole of the chest. A pleasant warmth diffuses itself throughout the whole stomach (soon). The warmth in the stomach increases and spreads downward throughout the lower abdomen; it is also increased in the chest and in the perspiring face and palms of the hands. Burning in the stomach and region of the liver, increased by pressure. Burning in the pit of the stomach and in the stomach. Burning in stomach up through the oesophagus, in the forenoon. Transitory, pressing-sticking pains in the scrobiculus, radiating from a single point into the cardiac region (second day). Transient stitches in the epigastric region. Stomach sensitive to pressure (second day). Stomach painful to external pressure (second day).
