      Low-spirited.

Ear

      Pain in the left external meatus.

Throat

      Sensation of something sticking in the oesophagus towards its lower end.

Appetite

      Lost mornings, but there is craving noon and night.

Stomach

      Continual distressing sensation about the stomach as if everything was knotted up; worse whenever debilitated.

Sensation as of an undigested hard boiled egg in the stomach.

Pain after a hearty meal.

Breathing

      Dyspnoea.

Heart

      Heavy, slow beating of the heart, sharp, cutting pains.

      Compare Nux vomica, Lactic Acid (latter feels as if all food lodges under upper end of sternum).

C. Hering
Hering got the degree of M. D. from the University of Wuezburg with highest honours. The theme of his thesis was "De'Medicina Futura" (The medicine of future). Hering left Germany for West Indies and finally arrived at Philadelphia in Jan, 1833. He established a homeopathic school at Allentown, Pennsylvania, commonly known as "Allentown Academy". Soon he became very popular as a physician. He is known as the 'Father of Homeopathy' in America.
