“THE MINIMUM DOSE”. There is no question in my mind that radium and X-ray radiations may cure certain cases of cancer, as these two agents are, at times, causative of cancer, if they were only used in compliance with the law of similarity and in very small, infinitesimal, “instantaneous” applications, never to be repeated until the effect of the first administration fades away and signs of amelioration stop.
TWO VERY INTERESTING CLINICAL CASES. The condition to which I will refer in the second case developed in the same patient twice, as a complication of two different puerperal periods. It taught me definitely that the homoeopathic physician does not need to resort to the use of narcotics and should therefore never use them.
Every time that a physician has a patient before him, whether in the consulting office or at the bedside, there are two problems he must solve, two different studies he has to undertake: to make a diagnosis and to select a remedy. And I say a remedy, diagnosis and to select a remedy. And I say a remedy, meaning internal medication, because it is the duty of the practitioner, in my opinion, to begin his treatment with a remedy even if his case falls within the field of a surgical procedure or any other physical aid.
The symptoms which a patient is again and again putting up, whenever he gets a chill, or an indigestion, or a strain, mental or physical, are only part of a primitive malady, to cure which you must cover the original latent disease, whether inherited or acquired.
To excite symptoms similar to those that are developed in the organism during disease, is to help and imitate nature in her curative efforts, since morbid manifestations are nothing more than the effort with an instinctive tendency towards the preservation of life.
