COUGH.
SCANTY, BLOODY COUGH-
Severe cough, with expectoration of blood; full, hard, quick pulse and synochal fever.
Constipation, turbid urine, great and constant thirst, but drinks only a sip at a time for want of breath.
Severe cough, with moderate expectoration mixed with blood within is coagulated: no blood; worse lying down: cough is caused by tickling and pain in the middle of the chest, and attended by audible palpitation of the heart.
SPUTA-
Mucus and blood mixed.
Purulent mucus and blood; dyspnea, cannot lie with head low.
Hard, tough, bronchial mucus.
WORSE-
From motion, or walking: eating.
Lying with head low: lying on affected side.
Evening: night: morning..
BETTER –
From raising mucus.
From walking in open air. (Worse, entering house).
SPECIAL –
Complaints following pneumonia; and in consumption.
Dyspnea; cannot lie with head low: wants to be fanned to keep from suffocating.
Drinks a sip at a time for want of breath.
