CORYZA.

DRY OR FLUENT CORYZA-

Dry coryza, nose stopped, smell lost.

Dry at first; afterward, fluent, dry cough.

Nosebleed; blood, bright-red; face pale.

COUGH.

DRY COUGH-

Dry, spasmodic cough in long-lasting paroxysms, particularly at night; attended with painful shocks in the head and stomach.

Severe, dry, spasmodic cough, especially at night; ending in paroxysms of gagging and vomiting without nausea.

Dry, spasmodic, tickling cough, from tickling in larynx to lowest bronchi.

Feeling of vapor of sulphur in air passages.

Whooping cough, nosebleed, vomiting, loss of breath; turns pale or blue, and becomes rigid.

LOOSE COUGH-

Suffocative, loose cough, impeding respiration almost to fainting: child gets blue and becomes stiff (See Ant. tart.).

Rattling cough; no phlegm is raised, though chest seems full of it: sweat on the forehead. (See Ant. tart.).

Loose, rattling cough, ending in vomiting of much mucus.

Croupy cough, especially at night.

SPUTA-

None, cough dry.

Much rattling in chest, none raised.

Ropy mucus, mixed with blood.

Expectoration tastes metallic, repulsive, sweetish.

Scanty, albuminous sputa.

Bloody sputa, or bright red blood.

Abundant difficult ending in vomiting.

WORSE-

In the open air.

In the evening; at night, in bed.

In the morning.

From weight, constriction and wheezing in chest.

From convulsion of respiratory muscles.

From least exertion, difficult breathing.

During the fever.

Sensitive to both heat and cold.

Craves air, but not cold air.

BETTER-

Sitting up: and from raising phlegm.

In the open air; breathing better, cough worse.

RESPIRATION-

Threatened suffocation from accumulation of mucus.

Difficult breathing from least exercise.

Violent dyspnea, with great wheezing and great weight and anxiety about precordia.

Violent constriction of throat and chest: gasps for air at open window: face pale.

SENSATIONS-

Pains in head and stomach, with violent dry cough.

Gagging and vomiting without nausea.

Constriction of throat and chest, very severe.
