CORYZA.

FLUENT CORYZA-

Excessively acute sense of smell.

Frequent, excessive sneezing.

Fluent coryza with the cough.

Frequent sneezing from tingling in nose.

DISCHARGES-

Watery, slimy.

Flow of acrid mucus from the nose.

Purulent discharge; also, hardened crusts.

Purulent discharge, with very acute smell; fibrous polypi in nostrils.

COUGH.

DRY COUGH—

Itching, scraping, and tingling of the air passages, with constant hacking cough.

Dry spot in larynx, with crawling and almost constant irritation to cough.

Dry, hacking, almost continuous cough, as soon as he lies down; scarcely any by day.

Itching and tingling in throat causes a continual cough.

Lying down, or taking deep breath, causes cough.

Exceedingly spasmodic paroxysms of cough excited by itching and tickling in chest and throat; or, By a dry spot in larynx.

When first lying down at night, or by day: must sit up and cough it out; afterwards is relieved and can rest. Loose cough, very difficult to get up sputa.

SPUTA–

Usually none; but after influenza (night or day), violent cough until a quantity of frothy mucus is expelled, accompanied by retching and vomiting.

Very difficult sputa : it is hard to bring up after being loosened.

WORSE–

Lying down; dry cough in evening; must sit up to cough.

At night, when lying down.

RESPIRATION–

Oppressed breathing in morning or awaking.

Asthma of old people; worse morning and in wet weather.

SENSATIONS–

Smell exceedingly acute.

Itching and tingling of larynx and chest and throat.

Dry spot in larynx.

Crawling and tickling in larynx.
