CORYZA.

DRY COUGH-

Dryness of nose and throat, with inclination to sneeze.

Frequent, violent sneezing.

Nose dry and stopped.

DISCHARGES-

None, nose and throat dry. (First stage)

Much thick, yellow mucus (Second stage)

Edges of nostrils crusty.

WORSE- From warmth., especially the warmth of the bed.

Loud speaking strains throat, causing cough.

SENSATIONS-

throat and mouth very sensitive.

Feeling as if something small (crumb or hair), and lodged in throat.

Rawness, scraping, dryness and heat in throat.

Dryness especially marked.

Fatigue of vocal organs, even from moderate use.

SPECIAL-

Brushing teeth causes cough and vomiting (Calcarea c)

Catarrhal troubles lasting room Fall till Spring; or, following whooping cough.

COUGH.

At first, the cough is dry and barking.

After a while it becomes loose, and a great quantity of mucus, like the white of an egg, of salty taste, is expelled; the raising of this often causes vomiting.

Severe cough, with much tenacious mucus, wakes him about, midnight.

From violent tickling in larynx; afterwards relief.

Spasmodic cough, almost constant, on waking in the morning.

Racks the whole body: the head pains as if it would split : the face becomes purple.

Spasmodic at any time, causing vomiting.

Loose, suffocative cough.

SPUTA-

None at first, cough dry.

After a time the cough becomes loose.

Sputa very difficult, like the white of an egg, or of viscid lumps, large as a pea: or, Abundant mucus, ropy, yellow, or grayish, easy in morning, difficult at other times.

Very difficult, abundant mucus in chest: it almost strangles during cough. and frequently produces vomiting.

Abundant, tough, ropy, white, difficult mucus (with loose, suffocative cough), which causes suffocative breathing, gagging and stinging. and vomiting of food.

WORSE-

In the morning on waking at 6 A.M.

From difficult mucus, churning up and down in trachea: When lying.

During exercise.

Coming from cold air into warm room.

On going to bed at night, loose cough.

All winter, from fall until Spring, when cough disappears.
