COUGH –

DRY COUGH –

Extreme dyspnea; abundant pleural exudate (sub-acute).

SPUTA – Usually wanting.

SENSATIONS –

Extreme dyspnea.

Face blue.

Abundant serous exudate in pleural and pericardiac cavities.

SPECIAL USE –

Catarrhal pneumonia, especially left.

Pleurisy, especially of left side.

Pericarditis.

STATE AND STAGES – High febrile states.

Extreme stages, even to threatened asphyxia.

DOSE –

Ix trit. to 3x trit; or 1/20 to 1/2 grain in 1/4 glass of water, taken every hour, in teaspoon doses.

N.B. There is no proving of this drug, but its clinical use has been very satisfactory in the cases stated. (Allg. Hom. Zeit.- 1885, Nos. 2, 5, 8.).
