A little Hamamelis, or witch hazel, which is the same thing, snuffed up, will, at once, stop an ordinary bleeding from the nose.
Ambrosia artemesiaefolia [Ambro]
Blackwood Philadelphia says that a decoction of the rag-weed Ambros. art. in strong doses will stop nose bleed where it attains dangerous significance in diseases. A specific for nose bleed. If the weed cannot be found, use the mother tincture-i.e. the fresh plant tincture.
