Editor of The Recorder. Dear Dr. Sutherland,.
I read always with much pleasure the Recorder. In the discussion of a paper of Dr. Grimmer, Dr. Waffensmith asserts that Hahnemann tells us in the Organon “that it takes five years to overcome a drug suppression.” I am sorry to contradict my distinguished Confrere. I have read the Organon only 30 times at least, but have never been able to find this statement. But as nobody is possessor of all knowledge I would be very pleased to ask my Confrere to answer in the Recorder by giving the exact paragraph on which he refers in the Organon about this question.
I have spent five years in translating the 6th edition and have enjoyed immensely this work which so few know, read and study.
very truly yours,
DR. PIERRE SCHMIDT.
