A CASE OF WARTS

Four years ago seed warts appeared on the back of the left hand which were removed by electrolysis. Soon another appeared in the same place and two months later a second wart appeared next to the first. The warts seemed to be getting worse and they were again removed by the same process.

Mrs. Edna P., age 27 years, widow whose husband died of tuberculosis. Occupation, secretary. General health good. As a child had measles and whooping cough. Vaccinated. Urine analysis, blood pressure and pulse normal. Mrs. P. told the following story:.

Four years ago seed warts appeared on the back of the left hand which were removed by electrolysis. Soon another appeared in the same place and two months later a second wart appeared next to the first. The warts seemed to be getting worse and they were again removed by the same process.

In April, 1936, warts began to appear on the face. In May there were ten on the cheeks, neck and temples – regular seed warts. She was terribly discouraged and came to me through the advice of a friend who assured her that she could be cured. She had tried ointments of various kinds, and as she was a business woman she imagined people thought she looked terrible. The friend who referred her had had a stubborn “barbers itch” around the mouth and chin, which I had cured. She wanted to know if I could cure her. I assured her I could, but told her it would require patience because the warts on the face would not vanish until the warts on the hands returned.

September 10, 1936, one dose of Thuja 10 M. was prescribed.

October 9. Same kind of flat spots, which appear like small blisters the size of a pinhead, began to form on the back of the right hand just as they had formed on the back of the left hand where they were originally before the warts appeared.

October 29. Patient reports the warts are growing very rapidly.

November 27. The large warts on the face are slightly more dry. The flat ones on the hands are growing slowly.

December 5. About the same report, except the warts on the left hand are growing more rapidly.

January 27. Warts on the left hand are growing larger while those on the face are becoming smaller and seem to be shrivelling.

February 18. Warts on the cheeks are disappearing entirely, but the one on the hand is still growing.

March 3. Warts all gone from the face and neck and the one on the hand is gradually going away.

April 21. “You dont know how happy it has made me to be rid of all these warts. Whenever I look at the scars on my hand caused by electrolysis I wish I had met Mr. W. Sooner, for it was he who recommended your services to me”.
