TWO CASE REPORTS

Dr. Baldwin spoke of his student with the sudden haemorrhage into the eye. These retinal haemorrhages are devastating. The retinoid is a very delicate structure and retinal haemorrhages destroy the retina. Your patient will undoubtedly never see again. There is little hope because these elements are destroyed. The retina is so sensitive that even the anaemia from quinine given in allopathic doses, a grain or two, will do it for a patient susceptible – that very brief anaemia will kill the retina. On the other hand, occasionally there will be cases largely in front of the retina, and they absorb better.

This patient I spoke of had two retinal haemorrhages which rather seemed to be subhyaloid, just in front of the retina, back of vitreum, and he came through beautifully. There was no destruction. It didnt happen to be in the center of the vision. When it is in the center of the vision, there is nothing to do.

I havent done any ionization. I havent used Capsicum in mastoid cases. I have used Silica. This case will have more trouble, no doubt, because he didnt get the sense of well being which we looked for and hoped for.

DR. BALDWIN: That is a case for Aurum natrum fluor.

DR. MOORE: The incision of the drum is not being done nearly so much as it used to be. I think under homoeopathic treatment, the incision of the drum is probably not needed. We are not doing it nearly as much as we did.

I ask a great many questions because I know so little and I have found kindness everywhere and consideration, and I just want to express my gratitude for that, and I have this feeling: This is a small group. we are worried about our size – some men are. I am not in the least because this is founded on truth and this will go forward and if you want a comparison, think of the twelve men, the twelve disciples, inconsequent fishermen, men of lowly occupations, little education, as we count education. think of what they did.

If you go into any spiritual group today, you will find a small group, perhaps mostly old people, but they are the ones who are carrying on, and I believe that this which is given to us to heal the sick and to give sight to the blind, is a spiritual thing and I have no anxiety or disturbance of mind whatsoever. I figure this is going on and on, and it may go very low or it may go very high, but the influence of homoeopathy is certainly a growing thing and it is going to continue and we need not worry about it. (Applause).
